My middle schooler has the type of ADHD that left teachers speechless when they opened his desk. Actually, I take that back, it's often the only thing they could talk about during parent/teacher conferences because it's really, that bad.Last year, he started middle school and while he had zero concerns about his lack of organization or how it might eventually impact his entire future (gpa, college acceptance, a career, inability to ever move out of my house), I realized we needed to get some simple systems in place stat.Being a single item to organize 6 subjects, this folder was a life saver. Granted, I still had to check it almost every day, remind him to put finished assignments back into for grading, file random sheets stashed about his backpack, but I promise, it really helped and as the weeks of dreaded "folder checks" stacked up, he started using it as intended. We're now on our second year using the same folder and it's held up wonderfully despite absolute zero care or regard because what do those words even mean to a 12yr old boy?

I have both the older and new versions. Both seem well made and sturdy, and both are able to hold a decent amount of papers. I use these for storage, so I can't attest to how they stand up under daily rigorous use where they're being carted around and opened and closed repeatedly. I do wish the bottoms opened a bit wider, because that definitely limits the functionality of these.The tabs make no sense to me. They provided tabs that are far too wide to fit in the slots. That seems very careless of the company. Like they didn't care enough about their own product to make sure it functioned correctly.That said, I just folded them a bit and made them fit. Bottom line is that these fit papers in multiple divided sections, which is what I needed them to do.

I've been using Five Star since I was in middle school and the quality is still there. In recent years, I use these folders to organize I yearly finance documents and I love the consistency.This year they changed the product design slightly but I don't see any quality issues as a result. I also like that they have a wide variety of colors at reasonable prices.

This number of pockets is hard to come by in my area. I had to have the red color for it's interested purpose. As usual, Amazon to the rescue! It's 5 Star. One brand I've been able to count on over the years with their quality staying top notch! If you need an expanding file folder and this number of pockets fits your needs....get it. You won't be sorry with the sturdy construction. They last "forever".

You could bend this back and forth and back and forth and it not tear or show any signs of it falling apart. Lasts a long time and great quality.
