I absolutely love my Fishnosh Fish Feeder. I have my feeder set up on a monitor stand and it sits over my patio pond (100 gallons). This fish feeder has been going non-stop. I love that it tells me the temperature on the screen, so I use that temp in addition to the floating temperature gauge to ensure that my pond water stays comfortable for my fish.In regards to setting this feeder, because I use flakes it's a must (for me) to always have it set at a minimum of 2 rotations. If the flakes get stuck (as they do sometimes), a second rotation usually loosens up compacted flakes and so if nothing falls the first rotation, it will for sure on the 2nd rotation.I trust this fish feeder so much that I've gone on a 2-week vacation and came back to a pond that was stable (no crashes while I was away) and happily fed fish.I recommend this feeder, and I've also purchased another for a friend.

This is a great auto feeder that I use for my Oscars with no complaints! So much better than any auto feeder I have ever bought. I love that you can mount it on the side of the tank or onto the lid, making it super versatile. The digital screen makes it so easy to set up how many times to feed per day, and the slider is perfect for feeding pellets. Plus, the thermostat makes it super easy to monitor aquarium temperature. All these features for a low price is a no brainer.

We went on vacation for 10 days and came home to fish fed and fine. The tank was clean, no food residue

Had to leave my tanks unattended for 10 days and trust this little guy to do its job. It was quite worrisome to read about potential overfeeding issues with auto feeders. Ideally I would have had time to test it thoroughly before my trip, but no such luxury. What I ended up doing was feeding my danios really well for 3 days (and on the day I left) in case the feeder backfired. Then I only loaded as much food as I thought they could survive on if it all dumped at once...and left a very slim slot on the slider door that allows food out. (I use very small micro pellets.) The time settings are straightforward if you read the included manual, but also leave you feeling so-so about the whole thing. So whether it fed on the program schedule or dumped all at once, I do not know. What I do know is I came back to perfectly healthy fish, and only a few grains of food stuck inside the feeder, which means they got fed. I'm happy, and will use it again next time I have to be away.

Absolutely love this! It is easy to set up and program, and the thermometer seems very accurate. Dialing in the food distribution takes some messing with, but that’s easy enough and just takes a little time and experimentation. For what it is, it’s not very bulky and clamps just fine to the side of the tank. I use a mix of flakes, pellets, and blood worms and it distributes the food just fine and on schedule. We’ll see how long the battery lasts, only had it set up a few days. I currently only have it set to feed twice a day, one portion at a time.

I am setting up a mini tank.. and I figured I might as well automate the fish feeding...I really like this model of automatic fish feeder, even though it uses two AA batteries, they last a long, long time, 4 to six months.. I installed the batteries and just stepped through the settings, without the instructions.. First you set the time, then you set the feeding times,,, and whether you want one, two, or three feedings. The feeding is so simple, a clear blue plastic barrel rotates, and when the little opening is on the bottom food falls out. You can adjust the size of this opening by sliding a little door more or less open. The whole blue barrel pops off to make refills easy. Another nice feature is that you can either use the bottom clip, and mount it on the aquarium wall, or you can use a double sided sticky and mount it to some kind of tank lid. Oh.. and there is a button to do a manual feeding any time. Hit the button, the blue barrel spins, food falls out. Lastly, there is a little plug in cord with a temperature probe. You can set an alarm, if the water gets too hot. I am not using this feature since I have a very dependable aquarium heater. I will be using this to feed my new fish when I am away for a trip. Linken, Blinken and Nod, are Tiger Barbs, and they are really happy. Overall, I am very pleased with this automatic fish feeder... Simple and reliable.

This is our first auto feeder. We have 4 Tanks -- 10, 20, & 140 gallon Fresh Water; and a 260 gallon Salt Mixed Reef Water.Unit arrived undamaged and complete. Easy to follow instructions. Simple to set up. Operates on 2 AA Batteries, not included. Great! No looking for someplace to plug something else in.Silent when rotating. LED indications are a good size and easy to read provided it’s mounted so you can see the screen which is on the end of the unit. Includes Water Temperature Probe.Setting time, and 1, 2 or 3 programable feeding schedules are all done with the push of a few buttons. It does allow manual dispensing with single button operation. It is recommended to clean the feeding cups weekly. Will most likely test that schedule. This is for Dry and Flake foods only. No wet or frozen foods. Now, here’s a “why did they do that”? The feeder comes with a small decal that is the Measuring Label. It is placed on the feeding cup next to the slider through which the food is dispensed. The writing on the label is dark blue and the cup is black. Dark Blue on Black. Cannot read the scale without a flash light! Will give it a go on one of the Fresh Water tanks with pellet foods.I’ll update the review if Off The Hook does not meet basic “ Do I trust it if I’m not there.”
