Let's start by saying I build and repair rods as a hobby. I recently busted a steelhead rod trying to get the hook off of a snag. I love this rod and was disheartened to say the least. I found this product on Amazon and decided to give it a shot. Nothing to lose and everything to gain at this point. The kit included a stick that was close to the right diameter and only required slight sanding for a perfect fit. The repair has held up well and only slightly changed the action of the rod.

These are solid pieces.It worked fine for my purpose but don’t expect them to bend with the flex of the rod.

I have repaired several broken fishing rods. This package contains carbon sticks and sandpaper. Of course, I have additional epoxy adhesive and binding thread. This is undoubtedly the most budget-friendly option for me.

Kind of disappointed with this, as the title and instruction pictures show the glue and winding wire along with the carbon rods. This “kit” only comes with sandpaper and the rods (which it does say, but it’s not very well indicated). So you can’t fix a rod with just this “kit” like you’d think.
