This was a Christmas gift and my daughter loved. It also is heavy duty good quality and I would recommend anybody to buy it. It looks like fun and I plan on playing with it this summer myself see what I can find on there!Thank you

The second time we dropped it in the water we pulled it up no tension it’s not like he grabbed anything and the magnet came off I bought this a year and a half ago we haven’t had a chance to use it me and my son today was the first day using it and now he’s crying thanks a lot for your crappy products

Was excited to go out for our first hunt unfortunately on the 3rd throw the magnet went one way and the rope the other so didn’t get to experience much.

On my first use of this product after 10 minutes the magnet part had completely fallen off in the water - rendering this product useless. I was on the side of a river bank with no real obstacles and next thing I knew I pulled up the string and there was no magnet attached.

I don't know about the force rating, but I had a great experience magnet fishing today. I recommend thread locker to avoid losing your new toy, and be careful not to get it stuck to a bridge or whatever. It's a lot of fun and totally worth the price.

My brother lost his keys in some tall weeds and I remembered i had my magnet in the trunk of my car in the event I might need it later. I dragged it through the path in which he walked a few times and sure enough, they stuck right to the dang thing.The magnet is VERY STRONG and I'd suggest picking this thing up just to have for $20. It's like any other tool you own that you don't need it until you need it and by then you'll wish you had it.I haven't taken it fishing yet but am probably going to purchase a spare one in the future so I won't have to keep a smelly river water cord in my car.

Strong line but the Magnet came unscrewed on second use. Luckily The Carabiner on the rope stuck to the detached magnet on the lake floor and it all came up. They need to glue the eye screw threads to the base so it doesn't come unscrewed. I should have bought a much stronger magnet. Most retrievable items are not fully metal so a stronger magnet would have been better, That was my lesson learned. Glued eye screw and screwed it back into the Magnet base. works fine now.

Decided that I wanted to give magnet fishing a try. Bought this to try. When I got it it looks exactly like it does in the photos and that magnet is strong. I got it stuck on some rocks on my first go out in deep water. I left it there because I couldn't recover it, for about two months in the winter. Came back at lower water and the rope and magnet still in tact and sturdy. Recovered and have been using it ever since. Great value and great seller.

As described. Good, cheap way to see if you like magnet fishing before buying a bigger magnet. The caribiner is magnetic and likes to get tangled, I clipped it to my belt loop and used a bowline knot with safety to secure the magnet. My scale reads 176lbs of vertical pull while stuck to a 6” thick block of solid steel, a little short of the claims. All in all, it’s good for the price and I’d recommend it to somebody just getting into the hobby.

Magnet works great and not so strong I can't separate it from what we bring up from the murky depths. Strong rope and love the quick clip carabiner. Nice deal.Strong enough to pull up everything we're looking for. They make these all the way up to over 1200lbs+++, but no way I could drag a car frame up. So perfect for our needs.Well constructed. Looking forward to Spring/Summer. :)Magnet Fishing or Stay Glued to your phone or computer...Pretty easy decision.
