These Fisch high quality utility chrome vanadium brad point drill bits have a center ground point and two large outer spurs for exceptional control. For boring clean entry flat bottom holes in both soft and hard woods. All bits fit 3/8-Inch and larger drill chucks. These Chrome Vanadium brad point wood twist drill bits are designed for excellent performance, the optimized spurs insure fast and easy cutting of the wood fibers before the hole is drilled. Additionally, a beveled edge leads to a perfect drilling of the diameter without any deviation they are ideal for doweling and other precision hole boring. You’ll get a clean cut without tear-out. These are being described as made in Austria but the package says only that they are quality controlled in Austria. Look pretty Chinese.

These are the mose expensive bit's I've purchased, and worth every cent.Nice boring action without being overly agressive pulling the bit down while boring, yet fast and smooth.Bores are nice and clean and really accurate to the diamater.

These are by far the nicest bits I've used. I mostly use them in a press, but have used in a hand drill as well. Clean holes, no bit wandering or chattering, and the sizes are dead accurate. Really, I love them and will never use a twist bit again in wood.Some have asked where they are made. The package says something like "Made by Fisch Austria", which I don't think quite means "made *in* Austria". I couldn't find anything more specific than that. With the way they work, I don't care where they were made. :)

I was not familiar with the Fisch product name but I will absolutely buy their products again. This 7 piece brad point set is excellent quality, ultra sharp, and I suspect will last a long time. Have used several of the bits in my drill press and have drilled perfectly straight holes. No wobble or perpendicularity issues. A great set for the price.

The extra channel around the bits help move chips and dust out of the holes. Sharp cutting edges leave clean-edged holes with no tear out on the face of oak and maple plywood. Accurately sized. Fit 3/8th drill chucks. Great bits! I wish they came in a case, though.

This is the Fish "value line", as marked on the package. Very basic quality drills, not to be confused with the expensive Fisch drills sold elsewhere. Does the trick but not a set of lifetime drills by an stretch.

Unlike a lot of reviewers who say they received a cheap chinese knock-off, I received the fisch chrome vanadium coated buts that were described and pictured on the product listing. The same bit set sells for $118 on Home Depots website, the only difference I could see was that these didn't come with a wooden case. For $20 shipped, this seemed like a great deal. I've only tested out a few of the bits but they performed perfectly. As to the test of time, the jury is still out. But I couldn't be happier with this purchase.Update on these bits.... They are awesome. I'm getting the metric set also. I've put them all through some serious use and they just make me happier and happier.

It is not clear where these bits originate. The packaging implies Austria but clear information is lacking. These bits will serve adequately for basic hole drilling needs.
