Having purchased a 3 storey property, I thought it would be best to cover the worse scenario should it occur and save trying to scale the outside walls freehand. The product is fairly weighty and comes in a cardboard box without a carry case.Although I’ve not test driven the ladder, from first impressions it appears very sturdy and the window hooks are quite easy to deploy without anything getting tangled.Just wish the product came with a nice visible carry case as well to make it easy to locate.

まだ使用していませんが、開けてみた所丈夫そうでした。予期せぬ災害時など万一のとき用に購入しました。京アニ事件を見て三階からの逃げ道が我が家にも無い!と気づき購入に至りました。使わないで済めば何より。

I have been researching good reviews for ease of use on portable fire escape ladders. This is by far the sturdiest out of all of them. Looking at videos during non-emergency setup and escape, this is also the easiest to remember on how to setup. So I decided to buy this one since we live on a 3rd story apartment and you really can't put a price on the safety of your family. I keep this open and ready by the window along with our Bug-out bag incase of emergencies, Teaching myself and wife on how to use it will keep ourselves ready in case unforeseen emergencies do happen.P.S.I rated the easy to fold a 1 star since this item is a one time use,you cannot open the ladder and expect it to work again same as beforesince it is folded in away that will deploy quickly and easily.

I can't for the life of me, fold it back up correctly. I stressed myself out completely. Other than that, its a very good product and it serves the purpose. I did a run with it, thats why I can't get it folded back up.

Last Feb 2019, I bought thru amazon First Alert 3 storey portable ladder. When it was delivered less than a week, I immediately check it. Very satisfied of the product, the strap that holds steps ladder are durable and lightly attached of the bolt, the step ladders are durable and light..and the holder that will be put in the window....perfect. I haven't use the item cause it's for fire but i'm confident that when the time comes, I'll be safely reach ground. At first I hesitate buying because I'm the type that see first before payment...but I didn't regret trusting Amazon/first alert product.

My review is based on a rather unorthodox use, but I think it's still relevant for those using it as intended. I have a hydraulic lift I use to work on my old clapboard house. I was up fairly high in the lift and it occurred to me that, since I live alone, I might be in real trouble if the lift malfunctioned and wouldn't lower me back to the ground. I bought this three-story escape ladder to keep on the lift in case that happened. Today it did, while I was working on the second story. The lift shifted enough (on rain-softened ground) to throw it off level, which meant it wouldn't respond to the controls. I unfurled the ladder and clambered down fairly easily, despite my being 70 years old. The ladder handled my 180 pounds easily. This is a well-made product that stows compactly. I recommend it highly.

The three story ladder is heavier than the two story ladder, of course due to extra steps. If using in a child's room would recommend the two story over three story, if the distance to ground would be a minimal fall. I'm worried that the three story step maybe too heavy for a child to place on window especially during emergency/stress mode. Overall, great product in terms of construction quality. Hoping never have to use.

I bought this for our 3 story home. We have a townhouse with the master bedroom on the top floor. Talk about a disaster waiting to happen should there be a fire. After reviewing the different types this seemed to me to be the best deal and I am confident with the strength of the material. The one con with this product is the one-time use feature. In my opinion I looked past this because I am willing to pay the money again should it need to be used. I would be more concerned with making sure it is repackaged properly. Remember to open it up and teach everyone in your household how it is used.I recommend this for anyone with a three story property who wants to be prepared for the worst!

We gave this escape ladder to our daughter and her family as part of their Christmas gift. Our daughter and her husband recently built a new house. Their three sons' bedrooms are on the second floor, while the parents' bedroom in on the first floor. While there are two staircases in different locations in the house, we thought this ladder would be a "safety net" for the children in case of fire closing both stairways. They will keep the ladder upstairs and teach the boys how to use it in case the need ever arises, which hopefully it will not. This ladder is very sturdy, it is long enough to reach the ground from a second floor room, and its use is straightforward. The price for this peace of mind piece of safety equipment is very reasonable too.
