We have hundreds of feet of lay flat irrigation tubing and several set ups from risers and portable sprinklers. We irrigate from a couple of different pump and filter set-ups and use multiple sizes and configurations of fittings. One of our filters uses this type of fitting in galvanized and it is harder than you-know-what to take off and put back on each season. I was happy to find this brass fitting, which will be much easier to install and will thread well to our other brass connections.Highly recommend if you have the application for it.

If you are considering this product then presumably you are looking for an inexpensive way to tap a fire hydrant. The difficulty of using just this reduced is that typical hydrants need to be opened all the way to operate properly (so that it closes off the drain hole). Also, it is good to give them a flush. If you go straight to using only this reducer, you’ll be opening and closing the hydrant a lot to flush it and the attach the hose, and even then you won’t have proper volume control at the hydrant. Instead of this reducer, I recommend a proper valve. You can find one that reduces to 1 1/2” at the same time.If this doesn’t describe your situation, then I’d say that the manufacturing quality is fine on this reducer.

This is a high quality fire hydrant hose adapter. The adapter has precision cut 2-1/2" NST female threading to 3/4" GHT male threading. This adapter will thread onto most fire hydrants and then allow a garden hose to be connected to the fire hydrant. The adapter is made from high quality brass that is weather and corrosion resistant. The adapter is strong and durable. The adapter also has two integrated pins for a standard hydrant fitting wrench. The adapter allows for quick connect/disconnects. Can be used in fire brigades, agricultural or industrial areas.Would recommend this to anyone.
