It's a gadget that in my opinion doesn't work well. Metric measurements only, (Celsius for temp, meters for distance) no way to switch to American measurements. Instructions are spotty and confusing. Companion app to use it is buggy.Not accurate at showing temperatures at all. Inside my house, floors showed medium yellow. Opened the exterior door and pointed at my deck expecting it to show blue. Showed almost the same color yellow as interior. Doesn't calibrate well. Kind of a useless toy.

Outstanding thermal image. Years ago, I bought one of the laser temperature gauges in hopes it would help me identify heat loss. But it is incredibly difficult to use in that way. Numbers jump around and you are never sure the reading you get is of where the laser is hitting or...somewhere else.This takes the guesswork out of that process. I am not sure of the temperature accuracy, but it is not necessary that I know if the temp is 75 or 76...it shows me where it changes. And that is what is helpful. And I can see an entire wall at a time, not just a small pinpoint area.There is no doubt in my mind that I will be finding more uses for this as long as I own it. I will be using the laser thermometer for my charcoal grill...LOL

This thermal camera exceeded my expectations. I didn't think it was going to be as sensitive as it is. You can paint in heat with your hands on the wall. You can see where your dog was sitting on the couch 15 minutes after he got up. I could see where coffee had flowed on the outside of the mug long after I took a sip. Sure, there are practical purposes for a thermal camera and I appreciate those things, too, but I'm still having fun with it. The camera pops in to the USB C port of your Android phone or tablet. After grabbing the app from the app store, you view the world in a different way. Taking still pictures works great. I could take videos, but playback didn't work for me on the Pixel Tablet or on the Pixel 9 Pro phone. Not sure what's up there, but it's not a deal breaker for me. I didn't need the USB C extension for my phone or my tablet, but it's a nice addition to the kit. The case is nice and big to where it fits the camera, the extension, and the instructions for future reference.This camera is well built, easy to use, and works really well. If you need a thermal camera, or just want to play with one, this is a great choice.

I recommend this HSFTOOLS 256x192 IR Resolution Finder S2 Thermal Camera for Android. A Thermal Imaging Camera Live Super Resolution. The Sensor probe plugs into the bottom of my Android phone. The Package includes the Finder S2 Thermal Camera Sensor, a User Manual, a USB-C Extension Adapter to accommodate attaching it to your Android Phone in a Case and it is contained in a Zippered EVA Storage Bag. Just Scan the QR Code on the Quick Start Guide and download and install the HSF App from the Google Play Store. There is quite a lot to learn about using this Tool, you can set minimum and maximum ranges of Temperatures, create Rules, Set Alarms for Temperatures High and Low. I have leaned the basic uses to begin with and I am impressed with the Capabilities of this Finder S2 Tool. I have been inspecting our Home for where we are losing Heat from our HVAC system pipes throughout the House. I have been able to seal leaks in the duct work and Insulated other areas to improve the Heat distribution. This is Heating the House more evenly and saving energy costs as well. I also have been checking our electrical system for over heating conditions and looking for Hot water pipe leaks or issues. As I get more proficient with the HSFTOOLS Finder S2 I plan to offer my assistance to my Family members to help Inspect their Houses for issues. The Sensor operates on a Charging Free system and only uses about 0.36 Watts of power so it can be used for 6-8 Hours on Smartphones or Tablets. It also is very light weight, just .92 ounces so it isn't cumbersome to carry around when using it. The read out is very accurate looking at Temperatures from -4 Degrees Fahrenheit to 752 Degrees Fahrenheit. The Thermal Imager allows for Photos and Video clips of what you are viewing. The HSFTOOLS Finder S2 is a high quality, professional Tool suitable for Inspectors or Engineers and a very useful Tool for a Home Owner trying to save money by improving energy use in the Home. Besides the HVAC, Electrical and Home Inspecting the Finder S2 can be a help troubleshooting certain issues with your automobiles. Thermal Imaging is an extremely useful tool.

This is really handy for viewing a literal heat-map photo in real time. Handy when looking for leaks from pipes or seams (in engines, etc.) containing fluid of different temps from ambient. Incorporates the phone's camera to create sharper lines around what is being viewed and the two images are sort of merged, with the heat coloring being heavily predominant. To me, it's an amazing tool - interesting to use in cooking as well. Seems well made and the app is easy to use.

I've been wanting to get a thermal camera for years, but they've always been a bit expensive for me, so when this became available through Vine, I jumped at it and I'm so glad I did. It's incredibly simple to use. Download the app, plug it in, and done. I've been walking around my house finding all of the places that cold air gets in. It's not telling me anything I didn't already know on that end, but it does show me just how bad it is, so I can prioritize where to start first. This is also looking to be the best stud finder I've ever had too. It just works, which is great.It comes with a USB-C extender which it 100% necessary. It wouldn't fit on my phone with my phone case otherwise, so including this is great. It also has a really nice case. My absolute favorite thing about this though, is the app. You don't need to create an account to use it! Just download the app. That's it! If you're looking for an easy thermal camera, this one is fantastic
