This NVMe enclosure is almost PERFECT.I'll start with the "almost" part : the rubber stoppers for short length NVMe drives (drives that are NOT full length, unlike in the picture I have included) are utterly useless. Someone @ Fideco completely forgot to test them - they are utterly useless and impossible to put in. FIDECO - please pay attention !Now to the GOOD stuff - this enclosure is how all NVMe enclosures should be made :- Strong- Simple design : click open the enclosure, swap out and in old and new NVMe, close lid securely, and you're off and running. This gives so much pleasure to IT specialists like myself who regularly swap drives in and out for secure erasing, backups, archiving, etc... It's a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful design, and a veritable time-saver for anyone who regularly swaps NVMe's. Top marks.- Speeds : Exactly as expected, top notch - 1.8GB transferred in 6 seconds. Yes, 6 seconds ! I had to do it twice to believe it !- Well thought-out USB-C to USB-C cable with integrated USB-C to USB-3 converter- Thermal pad provided. So, in use, simply use exactly as per my picture. The thermal pad provided is actually too long - if you do not cut it as shown on the picture you won't be able to snap the lid closed, so cut the thermal pad and stick it to the lid. If you are using a short-length NVMe, as explained at the top of the post, the rubber stoppers are totally useless, but you actually do not even need them - if you install the thermal pad as I've suggested, when you close the lid and snap it shut it keeps all short-length NVMe drives in place and they work properly, so I will not deduct a star for this.If you've come to this enclosure, no need to look at other ones, just buy this one - you won't regret it.Now, I'm off to buy a few more !

...was Preis-/Leistung des Adapters betrifft. Einfach Plug and Play.

I purchased this with a card to put in it to transfer files between my Windows 11 and off network Windows 10 computer. This thing works great for my needs. I was initially concerned when I saw that it had been shipped with the NVMe card and a 12 can box of wet cat food and more concerned when the three items arrived in a padded brown envelope but nothing was damaged and everything works perfectly! My speed increased from single digits to triple digits when transferring large files which saves a great deal of time. I'm not sure if that is solely due to the card or the enclosure or the combination so I'm mentioning it on both reviews. This thing did initially pose a problem with how to get it open but prying with my finger nails eventually did the trick with no damage. The instructions on how to open it are vague to say the least. I did not need the rubber spacers with the size card I bought. The heat transfer pad seemed suitably sticky. I'd buy this again if I should ever need to. I've had this for less than a week. If anything changes I'll update this review. If you don't see an update you can safely assume its still working like a champ!

I have many NVME enclosures from more well-known brands like Sabrent, SSK, Orico, etc. I'd never heard of FIDECO but given the price I figured it would be worth a risk of a few dollars if it lived up to the positive reviews I read. My experience has been 100% positive. It is just as fast as my other equivalent speed/generation enclosures and the way it opens and mounts the drive is just better. Under large data writes, the enclosure does get pretty warm but that just means its doing its job of soaking up the heat of the drive and dissipating it to the environment around it. I see a lot of reviews for these type of enclosures where folks seem to incorrectly associate a cool-to-touch enclosure with good heat management. In most cases, that isn't a good thing. These enclosures are metal for the purpose of spreading heat from a small contact area to a larger surface. In the case where there are no cooling fins, this heat dissipation is accomplished by a simple, larger surface area which must be warm/hot if it's doing its job. I do have some drive enclosures with fins and fans and those are cool to the touch, as they should be. This FIDECO is passive cooling over a simple surface area and it should be warm. Testing a drive in this enclosure with 5 minutes of benchmarking, it showed no sign of slowing down due to thermal protection. Proof positive the case is sufficiently keeping the NVME drive cool.My initial concern was how well the tool-less drive door stayed closed. The ball detent that holds the cover closed is indeed tight and secure and I don't see any reasonable situation that would cause it to unintentionally open. The mounting clip that holds down the end of the NVME drive is very secure and simple to use. The all-metal housing is well made, compact, and looks way nicer than the price I paid. Well done, FIDECO for making such a good little enclosure with that clever tool-less design.

Pros:- Aluminum cover is smooth with no sharp edges- Enclosure is very slim and sleek with little wasted space- Realtek RTL9210 bridge chip is used which is known for stability, efficiency and compatibility with a broad range of standards - both USB3.2 gen1x2 and gen2x1 10Gbps along with 5Gbps and backwards compatibility with usb2.0. Also it should support m.2 SATA drives along with nvme.- Included cable is very nice (though unfortunately I cannot currently test compatibility with USB3.2 gen 2 so take that with a grain of salt)- Included thermal pad is stiffer than the usual blue ones and seems more far more reusable. After initially placed on the drive it tends to stick to the top cover which is pretty convenient for swapping drives.- The ball detent mechanism that holds the cover shut is very secure yet still easy enough to open. I don't think I will have any issue with it popping open if dropped.- The enclosure is truly tool free, though you do need to you a little rubber nub to secure shorter drives. There is a plastic clip for 80mm long drives so it's really simple to swap out.Cons:- Bottom housing is made of plastic meaning the top cover is the only real thermal mass and route of dissipation.- Gets hot under extended use depending on the drive and it's efficiency. Writing a 600GB backup to a 1TB Intel 670P took 1hr and peeked at 66 degrees Celsius. The enclosure was very hot to the touch. To be fair, this is to be expected based on it's small size and lack of active cooling but still something to keep in mind. Even if the bottom case was aluminum it would only delay the same inevitable heat build up.This is the perfect enclosure for someone who is constantly swapping drives out to read and clone. Ideally it would work best for a source drive rather than target due to limited heat dissipation ability, but if worst comes to worst, hopefully the drives will thermal throttle.

An M.2 NVMe SSD enclosure for for M & M+B. The connection side is USB 3.2 via USB-C. It comes with a heat absorbing pad, an adapter plug for sub sized SSDs, and a short USB-C to C cable with a USB-C to A adapter. The case hinges open with a thumbnail latch. The SSD has a snap-in holder, no screws. It's quick and easy and was instantly recognized as a storage drive on two different PCs. It made of rigid plastic and metal and seems very durable.
