This distinctive quality ensures an optimal mechanical bond, making it perfect for secondary bonding applications where strength and durability are vital. When placed directly next to your laminate in the vacuum bag, our polyester peel-ply creates a rougher surface on your part compared to the finish achieved with nylon films after the process is complete. This enhanced surface improves the mechanical bond between your finished product and other resins, fabrics, or adhesives. Despite its tight weave, it allows excess resin and air to flow through, ensuring there are no voids in your part.
Our Polyester Peel Ply is:
- 60” wide and 0.005” thick
- Suitable for temperatures up to 480°F
- Scoured and heat set; No release agent present
- Compatible with every resin in our wide selection, including phenolics
