I'm not sure why this isn't more popular. Was easy to cut and sew with. It worked with interfacing. I used it to make credit card holders to gift. I will be buying more.

Blocked 4g and wifi EM by over 90%. I put sheets under all our box springs. Now we don't cook from the router all night.

I got this item to shield me and my Magic Jack from the powerful RF output from a new TP Link 6G WiFi transmitter, which is located about 2 feet from where I sit while on my computer.Test 1 – my phone is so staticky since I got the WiFi transmitter that I can’t understand what people are saying, so I covered the Magic Jack devise with 16 layers of this “Faraday” fabric, as Magic Jack recommended. It made NO difference in sound quality. FAILTest 2 – I checked the RF signal with nothing between me and the WiFi transmitter using a TriField TF2 meter. With constant clicking noise and output jumping around it seemed to average around 2.5 mW/m2. I put 4 layers of this “Faraday” fabric between the WiFi and the meter and the sound and RF measured was very similar. Next, I put 2 layers of 3/8” square wire mesh between the WiFi and meter, and the RF dropped to 0.5. Finally, hoping to lower it more, I draped 8 layers of the “Faraday” fabric against the mesh and the reading actually increased to 1.75 - It amplified it instead of blocking it! A reading of 0.2 or less would be considered safe, FAIL Pictures are attached of these tests.Test 3 – It failed to help in the two things I bought it for, but I decided to run a third test to see if it could block output from my very old Microwave oven. Magnetic output measured 1 foot in front of the window – 60 mG without the “Faraday” cloth, went up to a constant 80 mG when I draped 1 layer over the front, top and both sides (not the back or bottom). You want to stay below 3 mG, but again, it seemed to amplify, not block the magnetic output. FAIL I also measured to RF output at 1 ft in front of the microwave window – the measurement dropped from an average of around 2.5 mW/m2 to next to nothing after I draped the cloth over the front, top and sides of the oven. PASS Finally, the cloth didn’t fail a test, but this isn’t what I bought it for.I would definitely return this useless product but it is not worth the trouble and expense.

I purchased this for work and it works perfect for passive RFID tags I need blocked. I set the tag on top of the scanner with one layer of cloth and it stopped the reading. For active items, it does not perform well and I've had much better products which I won't plug here. One layer sleeve does reduce my close-by wifi connection by about 25% on my phone and kills the 2 bars I have for my phone network. Though, blocking your phone signal is moot because it'll just drain your battery and make it hot; it remains a good test for active signals. It works perfectly they way I need it to but not the best product around which was from an vendor not on Amazon.

I first bought another brand similar to this but this was priced lower so I bought a few instead. They don’t work nearly as well. They may dampen the readings slightly but not enough to have an effect. I returned and went back to the first brand and it worked for the space much better. Also they had a weird smell like febrezze or dryer sheet which gave me a headache.
