Works seamlessly with my new CT26 dust extractor as expected. I wouldn't own a Festool dust extractor without getting this addition, really handy to have.ONe note, at first I couldn't get it to work. Then I figured out you have to be in" auto" on the dial. It won't work on manual.

Unnecessary, absolutely.Quality of life, 100%.I find myself using this way more than I expected to, especially since I use my extractor on multiple tools. I don't know why I didn't get this before, it makes using the vac 10x easier as I don't need to bend down or walk around my workstation to turn the vac on, and allows flexibility to manually turn the vac on and keep it on auto for the next pass-through tool to use.Because of this addon, I can see a noticeable increase in productivity and in general I opt to use my Extractor more as well. All I need is the hose end I connect to the tool in order to control the vac itself, everything is in one place right where you need it!

It's worth it to me to not have to walk back and forth over and over to turn it on. But damn, why does a remote control have to cost so much?One tip: after trying to make it work and getting nowhere, I looked at the instructions and found you have to register both the receiver that goes on your vacuum (BLUETOOTH CT-F I/M) and the button that straps to the hose (CT-F I) in the Festool "Work App" on your smartphone (Android and iOS). In the "Power tools" section of the app, click the + to add the tool. After that, the button turned on the vacuum as expected when the vacuum switch was turned to "Auto", and I didn't need to be running the app after that, just to get the products into the app initially.

The ability to have a Bluetooth turn on for the collector is great. You can just turn it on from where you are working and not fumble back to the machine to turn it on.

I own a lot of Festool's product. This is a great addition to their vac. Like the vac and all of their tools, it's quite pricey. Installed in five minutes and worked immediately.
