The Cavie 80 is a great starter cage for guinea pig parents. This guinea pig cage is also ideal for hedgehogs. The deep 6-inch base contains guinea pig litter and other debris and the top front / side portion of the cage fully opens for easy access or cleaning. Wasn't sure I would like it.It doesn't have a small door.But the whole front lifts up, great.Really like it foe mu male guinea pig.

This was perfect for my “Ginny”. The bottom is one solid plastic piece which makes for super easy cleaning! Opens easily (even my 4 yr old can open and close) assembled fast and easily.

I saw that this particular cage had a lot of returns, so I was a little pessimistic. It was easy to put together and seems like it is made up of sturdy material. I like the fact that one whole side opens up so you don’t have to try to get your pet through a smaller opening. Would buy again 👍🏼

Assembly was so easy and no fuss. The instructions are pretty detailed. It is larger than my guinnea pig’s previos cage so she loves it. The hide-a-way is an absolute gem of an idea and gives plenty of room for her to play in the rest of the cage while her food and water are all in one area. The cage is super sturdy and can be relocated easily. The bottom is a bit deeper than her old cage which provides her more of an enclosure. The side lifting instead of a small door makes caring for her and cleaning so much easier. I LOVE this habitat for her.

This is a great style cage for my Netherland Dwarf bunny - which is a small type of rabbit, fully grown. He jumps in and out throughout the day and it’s his safe place to sleep at night. It’s also his litter box (picks a corner and commits to that spot). Has everything you’d need for first time small-pet people. The big magic with this cage is that the entire front side opens for bunny to enter/ exit. Other cages just have a smaller square door - not optimal in my opinion. Remember: feed bunny lots of hay to keep teeth trim and prevent over-growing! Also, if using wood chips for bedding, stay away from cedar/ cedar mixes because it’s toxic to rabbits and could cause “head-tilt” problems which can be scary if not attended to as soon as possible. Use Aspen, instead. ; )

Bought this for my Silkie house chicken.Well, she decided she was a house chicken!I wish I knew about this sooner!Easy to assemble. Might need a hammer to hinge the door on. Other that, was put together in less than 5 minutes.Size is perfect for a Guinea pig, dwarf rabbit… or spoiled Silkie chicken!Might be able to temporarily house a full size rabbit. But I’d prefer something bigger for my rabbits. It would be great for their litter box and temporary place to sleep. But it won’t give enough wiggle room for a 10 pound rabbit!Easy to clean. Like - super easy to clean!This is perfect for Mama Spice to sleep in at night. She wakes up in the morning, lays her egg, and sounds the alarm (very loud squawking) to go outside.At dusk, she knocks on the side door with her beak, I let her in, she heads straight to her cage, hops in, and goes to sleep!I highly recommend this for small animals! Hamsters, gerbils, and the like might escape. But it’s a wonderful and affordable enclosure to keep the slightly bigger floofs safe!Mama Spice Silkie Chicken approves!

Great GP cage. Door opens from the front so it's easy to clean and put in food. Water bottle is plastic but good quality. Bowl on the upper level has a lip built into the frame that keeps the bowl from being pushed over the edge.Just well designed and good quality.

The size of the cage is a good quality for one guinea pig. I like the color of the cage and the easy access open front door to the cage to clean it. The food dish is nice and stay secured on top of the cage in the water bottle works well. I feel there are two things that are in need of room of improvement for a more user-friendly experience. The Haybarn does not sit low enough to touch the bottom of the plastic part of the cage when it hangs on the side with her in it. There is a gap due to where the clip is so they constantly Falls on the floor. I may have to look into getting a different holder for her that is not so wide and could fit between the corner of the cage and the clip. Also the guinea pig runs and hides in its cave so that when my daughter wants to get him out she has to unclip the side of the cage and take the tab off of the cage and lift the cave completely out to get the guinea pig out to hold him. It would be better if they would make it so the cave was on hinges so that it would lift up every time you wanted to get the guinea pig out of the cave. That part is a pain. Hamilton the guinea pigs seems pretty satisfied with the cage, so that is one good thing! A cute and happy little guy!

I bought this for my 6 year old daughter for Xmas for her new Guinea Piglet. This is a great size cage for one or possibly two guinea pigs or smaller pets. It has everything you need to house a small pet included. I took one star off because the water bottle that comes with the cage is not very good (it mounts odd, the bottle doesn't rest well in the bracket and the spout leaks) so I ended up buying a different one that works much better. The shelter part is large enough to comfortably accommodate multiple guinea pigs and if easy to remove or clean. The food dish has a space that is molded for it to keep it from being knocked over easily which is a plus. The whole thing collapses easily for storage when/if no longer needed and cleaning it is easy as well. The hay tray leaves a bit to be desired but since one is not really needed and you can simply place the alfalfa or hay in the cage for the pet to eat, having it is a nice little add-on that does serve its purpose. The clips to secure the top of the cage to the tray and the access door are very versatile and may be mounted in many locations not just where the instructions demonstrate. This made it easier to mount the hay tray on the short side as opposed to the long back side so I could place the cage on the top of my daughter's dresser against the wall.
