The tuning machines on my 1992 Fender (Mexican) Jazz Bass were slipping. I tried using glue but that didn’t work. I got these replacements last night and they were perfect! I did not have to drill any new holes and I used the existing bushings even though these came with two sets of replacement bushings (two sizes). My 1st photo shows a new machine on the left of the headstock and existing on the right. The new ones look nearly identical except for the missing “Licensed by Schaller” stamp. One big improvement is how these are keyed. They have a more square shape (2nd photo) versus the octagonal key (3rd photo) in my original tuners which wore out and caused the slipping problem in the first place. I’m very happy with these!

These did work with my Squier Jaguar Special short scale bass using the stockinserts but only 3 holes just lined up so I had to drill one hole for each tunerand the original hole that did not line up is hidden.

These are excellent replacement tuners - much better than some of the cheaper reproductions. The gearing is accurate and tight and the mounting holes line up exactly with those of the original worn-out tuners so swapping them was quick and easy.

I used these to replace a cheap set of Chinese tuners that were so tight the d string took the strength of two grown men to turn. This set is much easier to handle and looks to be great quality. Will purchase again 👍

Bought for a MIM P Bass neck. Bushings were too small and holes for the tuners did not line up. And yes, measurements were made prior to ordering . . . not happy. Returned.

These fit my Squier 40th anniversary P-bass perfect. No drilling needed. I even called Fender and asked what would fit that bass and they didn’t know, so I am glad I gave these a try.

Bought these for a Squier that I upgraded so much that I couldn't leave the floppy/loose tuners on it, I had to upgrade those as well. I knew beforehand that they were NOT a direct fit for Squier. Squier isn't listed for the models these are used on. You well need to drill some holes bigger and make new screw holes. As for the 1-star rating someone gave, you can't give a 1-star because something not design for Squier doesn't fit a Squier, plus they're not supposed to be branded with the Fender logo, they are legit Fender tuners though. I attached a photo of what I got (after 1 day for shipping). Tuners are set in a cardboard sleeve (not in photo) in a bag. Comes with the tuners, 2 sizes of bushings, screws, and a couple of free guitar picks.

There have been other comments about the bushings being too small, but my Highway One tuners included two set of bushings - one slightly larger than the other. I ended up installing the larger diameter bushings by using a small reaming tool on the holes in my MIM fretless replacement neck to get a perfect fit. Installed, they seem very solid. The gear ratio works well, and allows for granular-enough adjustment in tuning. After a small application of grease, these are also incredibly smooth. Aesthetics aside, there is no difference in quality to the covered Fender USA tuners on my other basses. If this tuner set had only included the smaller set of bushings, I would have been disappointed. However, Fender appears to have heard the complaints and responded appropriately.

Used these on a new Fender Precision neck (from Amazon). These machine heads fit the pre-drilled mounting screw holes perfectly, but oddly enough the bushings that come with them are too small for the tuning post holes drilled in this neck. You'll also have to buy the "Fender Bass Tuning Machine Bushings - Standard/Deluxe Series (Mexico)". These fit correctly.
