I haven't found an angle/position I can't get. The magnets are really strong and arm locks firm so there's zero shake to the camera. I've used it on fence poles and hoods of cars to get all kinds of cool angles. I've got plenty of suction cup mounts but these magnet mounts, I feel, are superior.Simple and durable design is easy to just slap an action cam on it, throw it on some metal and let it do it's thing.

As advertised, this is a versatile mounting solution to get a small camera up on a fence. We use this specifically for tennis/pickleball, and so far the articulating arm and magnets have met expectations in use and durability. The major pros of this unit is that it is versatile with strong magnets to use on different metal surfaces. The mounting point allows me to use regular camera bases or GoPro adapters as well. The adjustment knobs are ease to use and feel pretty secure for lighter cameras like action cams and phones.The downside is that it doesn't travel well. There are a lot of moving pieces and things don't fold down easily, but if you have a dedicated storage compartment or bag then this doesn't matter as much. Also worth noting, the articulating arm is very short. We've since added an extension to it from SmallRig and that has made this a lot more practical by moving the camera even higher up on the fence. All in all we'd recommend this as a magnetic solution if you don't want to mess with clamps for the fence.

This is a really interesting design for a phone mount, really a great idea for mounting to a backstop at baseball games, or handrails at a football game. I mounted it to the hood of my van also with my insta360 on it and it worked out great. Super strong, really secure, easy to mount and dismount. Definitely recommend for anyone who needs a flexible mounting solution.

My younger daughter expressed her wish of having some type of bracket that could hold her phone, which recorded her playing pickleball. Therefore, this magnetic fence mount made her very happy.This mount looks and feels well made. The four round magnets being used are N52, which are made from a “combination of neodymium (Nd), iron (Fe), and boron (B).” N52 magnets are known to be extremely powerful. They adhere solidly to any ferromagnetic metal.The way its magnetic base is designed, this mount can adhere strongly to round, square, and rectangular posts, as well as flat surfaces and any other type of surfaces, as long as they are ferromagnetic. Having this mount attached to a post is much better because if it were attached to the mesh panels, it would vibrate and mess up the recording anytime a ball hit the fence; a post would vibrate a lot less.What is nice about this mount is that whatever way we bend its two arms, tightening one large plastic head knob, located at the junction of those two arms, will securely lock it in that position. To use this mount with a smartphone requires a universal mobile phone bracket, of which we have several.Only time will show how durable and dependable this magnetic mount is. I will revise my review if it does not meet my expectations. For now, it performs greatly, and I recommend it.

I was pleasantly surprised this came with multiple attachment for various devices (GoPro-style mount, a clamp-style for phones, and a standard 1/4” mount). The magnets are strong but, since the hinge doesn’t close completely, you need to make sure that you attach it to something large enough for all four magnets to make solid contact. The “magic arm” style of armature works well, provided that you can tighten it enough to lock it in place. I found that it is not strong enough to hold a heavier camera, but was perfectly capable of hanging my GoPro or my phone from the backstop at the baseball field, to get some uniquely angled shots.
