The machine worked beautifully the first and only time. The second time we used the machine the paper got stuck. We had a manual comb binding machine for 20 years that never stopped working. If it got stuck, it had a handle that you reversed and the machine was good to go. Regardless of how many times we pressed the punch button (as instructed) This $500 plus machine did not get unstuck. Beautiful machine and works like a dream when it works, but it's a shame that a cheaper machine can be made to work while this one cannot be fixed. It is being replaced, but if it had a reverse mechanism like cheaper machine do, this would not be necessary. Fellowes agent was very professional and helpful!

Does what it is supposed to do. Solid machine. The office staff that use the binder like it. Can not comment on the long term reliability.

I bought this for our office...70 attorneys and needed to punch and bind high volume of work. The removable binding unit is great if you have two people working in tandem...definitely makes it go much quicker. We did need to order a replacement though, bc the first binding unit started sticking and was unusable. After a screw up with fellowes, and it taking longer than it should have (3-4 weeks, 2 binding units came in.since our previous machine lasted well over 10 years, I was anticipating this one being with us for a long time, but the punching combs just refuse to recede all the way back into the machine now, making the machine worthless.I am not sure if my expectations were too great for this machine, or if we just used the heck out of it, but now I have to buy a new machine...so my issue is, do i get another of the same machine, or try something different. I assume if you are in my situation, and bought this machine, in 2-3 years, you will be asking yourself the same question.I am looking at getting another machine, but to stay in this price range, this almost seems like the best one to go with. Not the best, but seems to be better than all the rest. It does advertise being able to punch 25 sheets, and all the others similarly priced only say 15-20. I don't know if that is causing my issue or not.
