Be careful when buying this product. It advertises that there is a pad on the bottom of the press that prevents slipping. It is a nice pad, but it is put on the wrong board. If you assembled it as it is it would have the pad on the top of the press rather than the bottom. I say be careful because I when I returned the defective press they sent me a second one with the same defect. I am assuming now that this is going to be the case for all of them. I give it two stars because it is a well made press and it will be possible to drill the top board so that it can be used on the bottom.

Nice book press, got it for making notepads, but it doesn't tighten down that far so I'll add some height before using for that. Love it
