The Febco Lead-Free Bronze Y Pattern Reduced Pressure Zone Backflow Preventer Assembly with Flood Sensor provides the ultimate mechanical protection against cross-connection contamination hazards. It is specifically designed to prevent the reverse flow of high-hazard (toxic) fluids found in the water from contaminating potable water systems due to back-siphonage. This assembly is constructed with a highly durable lead-free bronze body, ensuring long-lasting performance and compliance with industry standards. It is equipped with threaded quarter-turn ball valves, test cocks, spring-loaded Y pattern check valves, and a hydraulically dependent differential relief valve. Additionally, it contains a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve.
This assembly is ideal in health hazard continuous pressure applications, including water services to industrial plants, hospitals, morgues, mortuaries, and chemical plants. It is also used in irrigation systems, boiler feeds, water lines, and other installations where maximum protection is essential. The assembly is equipped with a modular relief valve and check valves and internal parts that are serviceable in line from the top of the unit for easy maintenance.
