The ink colors are GORGEOUS, and the tips are a bit confusing when putting on but I love the variety. Ink goes on smoothly (does smear a bit but that’s expected) the quality is very nice and I again adore the colors . I got it for a pretty good price (50%, but I still believe it was a decent price) 10/10, do recommend!

I enjoy writing with dip pens and so I leapt at the chance to review this product.The pen comes with a small storage case made of cardboard that shuts using a magnet. A map decorates the cardboard cover and the pens and ink are stored inside on faux velvet. This is a cute little case, but not something I'd store the pens in given the size and flimsiness of the box. It does present as a decorative gift, though.The set comes with two pens. One with a feather and a steampunk motif and another wood and metal filigree. Each pen was fitted with a nib and there were five additional nibs of varying size. The nibs that came attached to the pens are a finer point and performed great. They hold enough ink to write a fair amount (as seen in the picture). The nibs that are extra have a broader tip for a broader stroke, but aren't as good as holding or delivering the ink in a consistent manner. This has to do a lot with how the pen is held, but I'm still not entirely sure how to properly get the most out of the broader nibs, compared to the fine tip.The feather pen is certainly pretty but a bit impractical in terms of using as it interferes with my hand and how the pen is positioned. It's not a deal breaker, but the other pen is more functional for sure.The ink also leaves a bit to be desired although the bottles they come in have a solid rubber stopper. This is nice in once sense as it prevents spilling if the top if off. But it's also messy and my fingers are a rainbow of colors The ink is very thin and very light in color. The black and the blue are the darkest by far and readable but are thin enough to bleed easily. The green, red, and purple are far lighter and were difficult to discern on white paper.I also enjoy the bottle holder and pen holder as it presents a decorative set.This is a good set to start out with. The ink issue is easily solved by using more specialized inks and the nib issue will likely have more trial and error before consistent use, but it's certainly a fun product for the price and I nonetheless recommend it despite the minor flaws.

This pen and ink kit is a great gift or starter set for someone who wants to try out writing or drawing with a dip pen. The kit comes with two dip pen bodies (one with a whimsical - if impractical- feather adornment, and a second much more practical pen body that is still somewhat decorative). Each pen comes set up with a fine point tip, and the kit contains 5 additional tips that increase in thickness that are very easily changed with a simple slide-in grip on the pens.Also included is a stand that will hold a single ink bottle and pen rest. 5 bottles of ink are included with fairly good pigmentation on the colors and black. One gripe on the ink bottles is the rubber stopper; I am not sure if they are intended to be separate from the lid, but you will get ink on you when you go to manually remove the rubber stopper, and this ink does stain your fingertips... so be prepared! The kit does not include pounce (powder sprinkled on wet ink to hasten drying) or blotting paper (to remove excess ink and speed drying) so if you are writing with the wider tips, allow for ample dry time!Overall I really enjoyed testing all the tips with this set, and jumped right into some quick ink sketches with the medium width tips. Other than the rubber stoppers on the bottle that resulted in stained fingertips - this set is perfect!
