I love having a place for my thumb on my flute. But I'd rather it would stay put after I place it. Is there a solution to keep the thumb rest from slipping?

I started playing the flute again after many years. I saw this item on You tube when a Flute Player talked about the benefits. I purchased it on Amazon. Wow! This little item took the pressure off my thumb which helped me balance my flute much better. I even got a better sound out of it when I played. It made my playing much easier. I wish I had known about this many years ago when I was playing on a weekly basis. Great product and great price! I absolutely love it. Thanks.

I could wish it were more cushiony, but it stays in place, and it has a nice contour for the pad of the thumb. The added stability makes it easier to have “easy fingers” - easy fingers are quicker and more accurate.

i guess it is fine for concert flute but i bought it for alto and it is too small to fit around the tube.

I have been playing flute for over 40 years. I have started to have some issues with my thumb tendons and have had difficulty placing my thumb in the right place.
