We no longer have Quail in my region. Not since the blizzard of 78. I wanted to hear them whistle again so I built an aviary and bought some youngsters. This whistle is how I trained them to whistle and now they whistle back.

perhaps by Haydn or Leopold Mozart or who knows. I really don't care about these scholarship things. That week was a busy one for musicians because I had such a difficult time hiring fully equipped, highly skilled but underpaid percussionists, which is why the personnel manager (me) bought the whistle. It must have been easy to use because other than the trumpet played by the trumpet player, all the toys except the drum and ratchet were played by orchestra members who were not percussionists.

A high quality, well designed call that does not contain a reed- often a weak point messed up by moisture.If you are familiar with the winter call of the bobwhite, it should only take a few minutes to follow the instructions and learn to use the whistle.It expect this call to give many years of service.

Great call, sounds pretty good haven't tried it out on any wild quail yet though. It's very easy to use, there are only two notes you have to play, i mastered it in five minutes tops.

This is a difficult call to use. if you think you will be making realistic calls right out of the package, you will be disappointed. However, it is a well made call and given some practice, it will make realistic calls. One big advantage this call has over many of the others is the sound it makes is far louder than most calls I have tried.
