Easy to read with metric values on opposing sides of the tape (no more imperial) I think values on the underside of the tape would make it perfect but to date it’s not been an issue. Would recommend.

I have been figuring out fractions for my diy wood projects for year. Using a metric measuring tape is much easier. The blade can be read easily regardless of direction. Love it.

Best metric tape ever. I am a cabinet maker, and have been using these for years. I love them and they last a very very long time. The true 32mm is awesome and so useful. Especially for measuring for handles and hardware.I bought this as an extra one at home. I already have 3 others at the shop that have lasted forever

I already own a couple of the imperial FastCap reverse tape measures which I find excellent, so I decided to get myself a metric tape for flexibility as I build stuff.I really like this tape measure - well built, handy little scratch pad to jot down numbers (which I thought was a silly feature at first but it's actually come in handy given my tendency to forget numbers after I make 10 steps).The built in sharpener is a nice touch, but I've not used that yet.I also like the fact its got 2 buttons for locking the tape (temporary hold and a true lockdown).The color of the housing is blue versus the green ones that are the imperial tapes I have so its really easy to spot on the bench.I'd buy it again (in fact my wife got jealous of it and wants one too!).

First point - I don't want to get into a "metric vs imperial" argument here. I just find that - sometimes - I find it easier to work in metric than imperial... and other times it's vice versa.What I was looking for - was a tape measure that would be useful around the shop, was sturdy, and easy to read. This tape measure provides ALL the above... AND you can easily read it from either side of the tape (not that reading numbers upside down is tough - it's just easier this way). I liked it so much I got a couple of others from the same company - the white background and black numbers are fantastic!

This measuring tape is the best I've ever used. It combines two of the most important features with a bunch of other cool characteristics that just make it that much better!#1 The numbers are displayed on top and bottom of the tape, so you can measure with the spool on the left or the right. Half the time when you're measuring with any other tape, you have to look at the numbers upside down, but here they are always upright.#2 The numbers are metric. This could be interpreted as negative, but it makes things so much easier to measure, especially for interior design. As I measure wall lengths, it is simple to subtract for baseboards or other adjustments, because 1850–30=1820. No messy fractions or difficult subtractions. All the numbering is in mm, but that's ok, because after you write down your measurements, you can add a decimal point if you want larger measuring units. E.g. if you want meters, just make it 1.85m (1.82m without baseboard).#3 I really like the momentary lock on the bottom. There is a standard locking lock in the usual place above the tape, but on the bottom is a little button that I use as I guide the tape back into the spool. (You never want to let a tape go, as it can lash around and cut you, and allowing it to accelerate and slam into the spool isn't good for a tape's durability.)Another reviewer complained that it would have been better to put cm numbers instead of mm numbers at the marks (you see 10, 20, etc and have to look down the tape to see 3300 and 3400 on either side, then add them to get 3320; the manufacturer had room to put 331, 332, etc at each 1 cm mark), but that didn't really bother me in actual use. I guess I'm too used to having to look for and add the feet to the inches displayed on an American measuring tape.If you're measuring for interior design, cabinets, furniture, etc. you cannot beat this tape. The only thing that would improve it, would be if it came with someone to hold the other end!

Finaly I got meself this gem of tools I use often.Away more easy for me to read the numbers.The price is allways bigger, since those Manufacturing cost is bigger to, and only byers to pay.It is hard to find lefthanded tools overall, and some are simply to expensive.Just happy to see this great messure tabe is not one of them. I think the price is pretty fair.So all lefthanded user should buy one.Buy with confidence.

I am going to make this review simple and to the point.1. The price is very fair for what I received. For the price I would expect the tape to last a short while (compared to other tapes that cost twice what this one cost) but I actually think it will last me quite a while.2. Crazy easy to read. I gave this tape to my wife and asked her to measure something . . . she felt comfortable with the numbers she called out and they were actually correct. When I did this with a standard US measure tape it was damn near hopeless trying to get her to measure below 1/2" increments let alone 1/8ths and 1/16ths. Of course this only works if you too have the same tape.3. Upside down numbers are amazing. Fast Cap calls this both a left and right tape measure - just say upside down numbers, because isn't that what it really is?4. A built-in pencil is kind of cool too. Although others may find it useless, it doesn't sharpen flat pencils, I actually use standard #2 pencils will used in school.So, after all that I always say the best review could be summed up by saying one of two things; I would or would not buy this again. my review of this tape is simply - YES, I would definitely buy this again . . . . . . . . and actually bought another already!
