Horses can become stressed from a variety of factors which affects behavioral, cognitive, and digestive health. It’s hard for a horse to focus when he’s stressed at a competition. Horses that are easily stressed in the show ring can act nervous, reactive, spooky or unpredictable and may need additional support to help them relax. The gut-brain connection is vital to addressing behavior issues, nervousness, and poor performance, as stress can cause an imbalance in the GI microbiome, which negatively influences the brain and can impact mood, behavior and cognition. If your horse is tense and inattentive at shows, you’ve probably wondered about a show-safe way to take the edge off and support gastric health without affecting performance. Quietex Show Pellets addresses these issues via the two-way communication of the gut-brain axis to keep horses relaxed with unflappable concentration that’s needed for optimal performance. Exclusive formula combines key calming and digestive ingredients - magnesium, omega fatty acids, zinc, folic acid, vitamin B6, prebiotics, and a postbiotic - to help manage nervous behavior and support gastric comfort at shows and competitions. This show-safe, herb-free formula does not contain any prohibited substances, won’t hinder athletic ability, performance or make the horse dull to the aids, so your horse stays alert and focused during competitions, busy show environments and daily training activities. Quietex Show Pellets can be fed alone or combined with Quietex Show Paste for added calming during show performance days.

These pellets are easy to feed to my gelding. I have read great things about magnesium (in people too) so it just makes sense that it would have a more calming effect. I have been pleased with the results. He’s not awful nervous but I think this does take the edge off. I think it’s a small investment worth a try for those looking for a calming aid.

My horse who normally eats anything won't eat this. Based on the ingredients it should help with anxiety but i can't say first hand that it does.

This seems to work great to relax the horse before the show or before a trip in the trailer. Easy to use and horse approved. Good purchase.

This product is great to help soothe and calm nervous horses, especially those that might get nervous trailering or going to shows. The ingredients are described very well in the product description so you know exactly what you're getting. I feel confident giving this to horses and it seems to be very palatable even for picky eaters.

I received this calming supplement through the Amazon Vine Voice program. You do have to be consistent by feeding daily and using the product in advance for results. Also, this product works best with a low carbohydrate diet. Meaning, no grains or other unnecessary sugars are being fed to your horse. So, a higher protein, fiber, and crude oil diet is best for a hyper horse (also balanced omega fats). Concisely, horse behavior is directly linked to dietary intake, which includes nutrients and/or deficiency.

My gelding is extremely high strung and especially on stall rest, when he finally does get out of his stall, he is a fire breathing dragon. We've been using similar calming products with great success, so I figured I'd try this one for the value.Unlike other similar supplements on the market, you can't feed this a couple hours before you expect to go out, and get results. This needs to be fed for several days on end BEFORE your event, which is a little frustrating especially if you're boarding and you're not directly responsible for caring for your horse each day. It's a lot of hassle to get the barn staff to feed this in addition to other supplements for only a few days and then stop, so I think it would be best for a horse that needs to be on it all the time.Additionally, I don't find the effects to be very strong at all. It takes a bit of the edge off, but unlike what we've tried in the past, it doesn't prevent my gelding from getting stark raving mad at the sight of another horse or a mild spook. It seems good for taking the edge off, or if you have a normally very quiet horse who just needs some help with anxiety. However, if you've got a hot horse and you need a level head for a show or for hand walking at home while on stall rest, I don't think this is necessarily the right product for you.

We've tried a few times to give this calming supplement to our horses but they would not use it. Will try the paste instead.

I am using this on my young horse as she heads out to the show ring. The first part was getting her to eat it. She did not want to eat it originally and it took a couple of days to get he to eat it. I tried to give it to another horse who also would not eat his food when I gave it to him. There is something in the taste that the horses are not liking in the beginning. I was able to get them to eat it when I cut it down to half a scoop and slowly introduce it to them. After a few days they would eat it.I am not sure how much it helps calm them down but it looks like it may protect the gut so I am continuing with it because gut protection is very important to me. We did go to a show and she was not calm but, again, if this is helping to protect the gut I am good with that.
