So I'm not using this for laboratory work, but more for simple tasks like cell phone repair and screen protectors. I also do some electronics work and like to keep it clean. The lights are all LED, both the white and green. When running, it's fairly loud. The airflow is good, and keeps dust from swirling around and landing where you don't want it. I do wish that the work surface was made to fold up and allow this to close when not in use. That would help keep dust from settling inside the unit when it's not on.

I'm not to sure about using this for mycology. Iknow someone else on here said theirs wasn't laminar but my unit has a steady laminar flow. The filter isn't hepa though. So I'll need to replace that. Lighting is good.

I liked its performance and features. What made it even better was the brightness adjustment knob, giving it a wide range of lighting levels from subtle to brilliantly bright. This versatility made it easy to adapt to different requirements.The fan and airflow control also had a knob for adjustment, letting me to fine-tune the speed and air flow to my liking. This flexibility was essential for different tasks, as I could switch between low air flow for delicate work and high air flow for more substantial projects. The hood's airflow was consistently strong and steady, ensuring a positive air flow that effectively kept dust and particles out of my work area.I also like, the replaceable filter pad, which helped maintain a particulate-free airflow. This added layer of filtration contributed to the overall cleanliness and safety of my workspace. The work surface itself is not only removable but also adjustable, featuring slots and grooves that allowed me to easily modify it. Additionally, the inclusion of a removable and sanitizable rubber mat for the work surface was a practical touch. I think this was a good solid choice for me.
