Green light is awful, too bright and hard to see. This works pretty good as far as the magnification, but your bathroom vanity light or phone light will work better. Have to mess around with the amount of saliva to use, I wasn’t using enough at first. Drives me nuts that you can’t stand this little device on-end because the cap is curved and the bottom end has the button for the light sticking out. And the cap falls off all the time because it’s a very loose fit. This product is not the first of this kind I have used, and I would say this version has some design flaws.

This saved my OPK sanity. Traditional OPK never work for me, but the ferning microscope without fail has predicted my ovulation each cycle I've used it. It is also useful to watch for your estrogen spike around 5-9 DPO which causes a temp dip. So many women get excited thinking it is an implantation dip when it is estrogen, which you can see in the ferning pattern of your microscope..

Love it. Very clear and easy to use. Usually i get strong ferning a few days before i get a positive on a urine ovulation stick so it gives you a heads up a few extra days beforehand.

Yes, this product may not be made using the best materials but does it work as intended? YES. Whether it is worth the cost or not is up to you but if you're trying to decide whether or not to buy it based on whether it does what it describes, then make the purchase! I think many people don't research items and therefore don't know how to use them correctly prior to tossing them out and assuming they're defective. The instructions could be a bit more helpful, but after reading nearly all these reviews, I believe I could make it work for anyone (unless it is broken or you have irregular hormone levels). First, take/pull the whole black piece OUT of the lipstick container thing, do NOT try unscrewing it (that is the focus mechanism). Second, apply a large drop of saliva, first thing in the morning prior to any water, food, or tooth-brushing, directly to the lens (located on the bottom of the black piece you'll pull out) with your tongue; saliva from under your tongue and fresh from the ducts is best. Third, do NOT replace the black piece into the main container!!! Just set it down, saliva side up, obviously, and let it dry completely for at least 40 minutes while you do your morning routine. Fourth and last, pick up the little black piece (which is the scope and contains your dry saliva sample) and simply hover it above the light which you hold in your other hand (saliva side closest to the light). It makes picking up the patterns SOOOO much easier than actually returning the scope/saliva into the main container and you're not completely blinded after trying to read your results! I had success on my first attempt.This product is DEFINITELY worth the $27 they're charging and I will use it in conjunction with OPKs. It arrived early and with Baby Dust as well!

I had the MaybeMom ovulation microscope and used it for two pregnancies - it worked great. Until the bulb blew. Since it was inexpensive, I went online to buy a new MaybeMom. They are out of business. So I did a search on Amazon, and came across this brand. I was so excited to try my new microscope, only to find the little green light to be positively BLINDING! I tried to return it, because it is 100% unusable. The company wrote me back suggesting I take it apart and put a small piece of TOILET PAPER over the bulb to dim the light. What?! I have to jerry-rig this product to make it FUNCTION?! After another round of clarification emails between us (where exactly do I put this piece of toilet paper?), I followed the instructions to insert said piece of toilet paper and the magnifying glass lens piece fell out. Now I have to shake it around like one of those old fashioned kids toys with the ball bearing you try to get through the maze, to get it to work. I am going to try once again to return it, however am guessing that I will next receive instructions on how to glue it back together, or some other homemade "trick" I can use to get it to work. I am extremely underwhelmed by this product, and their customer service. I would certainly not purchase again, and would not recommend to friends.

Es hält was es verspricht (nur die Schutzhülle hält nicht ganz, die sitzt etwas locker).Kann es nur empfehlen, vor allem wenn frau auch nicht ständig OvuTests nachkaufen möchte...Ich bin sehr zufrieden! Ich werde noch ein oder zwei Bilder anfügen, auf denen sehr gut zu sehen ist, dass es funktioniert.(Mit der Handykamera kann ganz einfach "hinein fotographiert" werden :) )

I bought this product to use in conjunction with my CBE digi opk's. I naturally have estrogen in pretty good levels in my body, because I got it partial ferning the day I started using it, and for 3 more days after. I got full ferning (with the most beautiful pattern) 2 days before a + digi. Like other reviewers posted, it takes longer than 5 minutes to dry. I guess it all depends on the sample size you place on the slide. I however would place my sample and get my children off to school. Once they were gone I'd look at it. If you see nothing on the scope then it has nothing to do with the product, it just means your estrogen isn't surging. There is no way to miss a full ferning pattern. It truly takes up the whole slide (if you put a decent sized sample).I am sorry to read that the scope light isn't replaceable. :/ Guess it comes with the territory. I found that if you take the scope outside and look at in straight on in the sun, you can see your results without using the light. So that should help those that have burnt lights on their scope.I found the instructions to be quite straight forward. I understood them perfectly. It's just difficult when you are looking for something on the slide that matches with the paper. No two women will have the same ferning pattern. Your ferning pattern is unique to you. If you want to know how full ferning looks, search the net for comparison until you find one that looks like yours. But a tre full ferning can't be missed. When you see the most breath-taking and beautiful design on the slide then you will know without a doubt.As far as ferning on and on, it's not because of the scope. It's not giving false results. It's just the amount of Estrogen in a womans body that makes it do this. I am still waiting to see nothing on the scope. will keep you posted if I can.
