These are A lot of fun and the beautiful coloring and blend well together. I’ve definitely enjoyed them with my mixed media artwork.

I like to use these as foundation color for thicker, more viscous oil pastels to cover.For what little these cost, very little, I feel free to teach with them or use them to cover larger areas without worrying about using them up on a single painting. If you wet them with a medium or solvent, you can get them to spread like watercolor for a nice even base to work over.

We got these along with Strathmore pastel paper for a birthday gift for an art lover. It was a great gift for under $20 for both the pastels and the paper.

I was looking for art supplies for our homeschool. My daughter is older so I wanted good quality, but I didn't want to spend a fortune. This satisfied both! I can't speak as an artist, but for a beginner just starting with pastels they're prefect, especially for students. The packaging is a nice thick cardboard so I'm not afraid it will fall apart quickly. The colors are nice and bright, easy to work with, and blend well.

I have been an oil pastel artist for 40 years, and I do not use these Faber-Castel Oil Pastels professionally. I bought them for some private students (elementary age), and they worked almost as well as the very expensive ones I have been buying from Holbien. If they made more colors, I would switch. The artwork the kids did with these oil pastels was beautiful.

These pastels are wonderful. They're not at all "chalky" like other pastels and so very easy to blend. The colours are vibrant yet soft and gentle. I feel very calm and peaceful when I work with them. One of my main concerns was getting clear, sharp edges which was difficult with other pastels but with the Faber Castell's it's easy. I normally try most brands of a product before I decide which one works best for me, but I don't need to look any further. They are everything I need.

Bought this for my daughter's art room. She loves them. Very easy to use, create. None were broken on arrival.
