Hands down the best dog door we have purchased to date. We have three large dogs (weims) that barrel through the door at lightening speed. It was easy to install. The double flaps keep it insulated. The best part is the frosty flaps so the dogs can’t sit at the door and wait to pounce their prey. Forces them in or out.

Ok the riveting to mount it is kind of a pain but definitely a solid dog door with very solid magnets and flaps. Had to have a talk with my dog about not flying through the dog door at 100mph like she did with the old single flap when I swapped it out for this new dual flap or she will definitely would of ended up with a headache.

After getting a quote for $3500 to replace my full view glass door with one that looks pretty identical to what I ended up with, I decided to do it myself. I chose this URSPET aluminum double flap door for the project. The one shortcoming is that the panel I constructed to mount the pet door inside (made from 2 sides PVC panel with a filler board in between) was only 1 inch thick in order to fit into my existing door. The URSPET aluminum door won't fit flush for 1 inch thickness without modification. I could have used a spacer but I opted to trim the aluminum frame which I did to the non visible side and it worked fine. I also used screws instead of rivets (what the instructions call for) to secure it to the opening. I did have to drill my own holes and use very thin head screws so they wouldn't impede the flaps from opening and flapping shut but it was very easy. Hardest part of the job was waiting for the new IGU glass panel to fit above the pet door which has nothing to do with this purchase.Dogs have been using it for almost 6 months now and it's still in perfect shape. Insulation seems to be pretty good too. there are no noticeable drafts. It does require a little extra force from your pooch but, even our smallest dog has gotten used to it and has no problem going through when she wants to get outside or in. Looks like it's about $35 less now than when I ordered it which makes it an even better deal!

I bought this door a while back ago I have a German shepherd mixed and Pyrenees’s. They go through they in and day out they are happy with the access of it. I work construction so it was pretty easy to install, but the instruction are clear enough to get you through the installment part. I took one of the flap as it was complicated for the dogs to use for some reason it was harder for them but it just might be my dog.

I bought this and install was very easy. My Great Dane is still a puppy but there is still room for her to grow into it. The only problem I have is I wish they sold clear flaps that you could buy as replacement flaps. Anyone with any suggestions?? She is scared to go through because she can’t see through it.

1.5 weeks in, so far comparable to my last $500 dog door. Seals well and sturdy. Only issue is that magnets are VERY loud as they come through which is ok because I know those magnets are working. Great value, recommended to a friend.

I’ve tried other dog doors and this one is far superior. Great quality, easy instructions, great design.Once installed, it looks super clean and high quality. I highly recommend. Also, does great especially during storms for keeping the cold and weather out. We live where it snows, rains, and hails. So far, it keeps the inside warm much better than any dog doors we’ve had in the past!

**UPDATE** I ordered the "New Version" to completely replace the "Old Version" made by these folks. The cut-out dimensions HAVE CHANGED! The original X-Large cut-out is 13-3/8" x 24-1/8" and this "New Version" cut-out is now 14-1/2" x 25-1/8". So, if you need a direct-fit, this updated version will NOT fit! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!The idea of the door is great, and it works great for 6 months and then the bottom magnetic "bar" breaks off, leaving a 1/2" gap. According to the site, you have to purchase a $40 replacement flap, or a $20 replacement bar "set" (out of stock) if you want to fix it. But the parts are not available. The channel of the bar is small and not reinforced at all. Seems expensive and I would expect a better made product that lasts for $150. Look somewhere else.
