Edit, Sept 2019: Added photo of Pelican case full of these manometers (two layers deep - several ranges). I really, really like these!Original post: I really like this series of Extech manometers. I own 3 of the 0-0.5 psi, 2 of the 0-2 psi, and one 0-5 psi. I also own about a half dozen Dwyer manometers of various scales. The Extechs are more useful for my work as an industrial burner technician. The min/max/avg feature is very useful for catching transient readings or smoothing out a fluctuating pressure. The display can be illuminated which comes in handy in the usual grimy/dingy/dark plants. On occasion I've used the data logging software, but it's not the most useful feature. The standard 9 volt battery last a very long time. I use rechargeable batteries in mine and get weeks of service between charges. They have an auto power-off feature that can be defeated if you want the manometer to stay on indefinitely. There's even a 120v wall outlet power supply that you can fall back on if the battery is dead. I've only ever had one of these break. The screen was cracked while packed in my luggage. I put these to the test on a daily basis and continue to buy more.

Handy to use as a standalone instrument, and the included data logging software was easy to set up and use. Data saved as text files is easy to import into Excel for analysis.

Careful: I almost made the mistake remember the high resolution is in higher incriments. I even went to the manufacturer and it does not do .001 in inches of water column, only .01. You get into higher psi or feet of water column then it goes down to .001.hight resolution - yesLow pressure high resolution - no

Very good in both handheld using and data logging to excel file with real time graph.

Good affordable tool. We use it in conjunction with a set of calibrated orifices to perform blow by tests in many differente diesel engines.

The manometer works as advertised. I've used it for static pressure tests on HVAC equipment and leak testing on natural gas/ lp lines. The casing is molded plastic and could stand to be a little more rugged. The battery cover in particular seems to need refinement as mine has a tendency to come loose. I have not tested the software or usb connection. I have no use for that feature, however, the recording feature is great for pressure testing lines. Update. Having owned this meter for about 2 years, I can tell you that it is over all a good meter, but has a few serious issues. The first problem is the temperature range. If you leave it out in your vehicle in below freezing weather, the display screen goes out. The second issue I have had is that the case has cracked in the upper right corner by the screen. Now the screen will only come on if I squeeze it together tightly. Right now, I'm looking into getting a new manometer and I don't think I will be buying this one again. It just isn't rugged enough for my use.
