Manometers measure the pressure of a liquid or gas. They are used in laboratory, medical equipment, engineering, automotive, and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning applications. Manometers measure any combination of gauge, absolute, or differential pressures. Gauge pressure is the amount of pressure in a system relative to the ambient pressure, absolute pressure is the amount of pressure in a system relative to an absolute vacuum, and differential pressure is the difference between two pressures. Analog manometers are composed of columns of liquid, and they use gravity and the liquid's density to calculate pressure. Because they have no moving parts, analog manometers do not require re-calibration. Digital manometers have pressure sensors that are connected to a system with a hose to provide a digital readout of the amount of pressure present in a system. They use microprocessors to calculate pressure, and they require periodic calibration to help ensure accuracy.

Supco manufactures test instruments and replacement parts for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The company, founded in 1945, is headquartered in Allenwood, NJ.

Not durable enough build quality to keep in a work truck where things get banged around. Lasted three months before the casing and screen cracked.Ports are for tiny hoses. Will need adapters for use with any manometer hoses largerGo with something stronger and more common hose sizes.

The unit is accurate and easy to use. The back light for the display is nice. Calibrating the unit is easy. For the money this is a great gauge.

This is a very nice digital manometer. I mostly just use it for inches of water column but it has many other units of measurment. I am in the field with this everyday and it holds up great .

I'm sure it was accurate, but the quality didn't seem much better than the ones on ebay for $40. In fact it looked identical to those except for the brand label. While those aren't reasons to ding it, mine came through with the power button not seated properly, so it kept turning off and on. It had to go back.

Great manometer. Very easy to use. Included hoses and two threaded hose barbs. Worked great. Highly recommended.Update:Last week I turned this on and it appeared the battery was low. Screen flashed on like normal but faded off instantly. I installed a brand new battery: same result. Frustrated, I set it down rather firmly on granite counter and suddenly it worked like normal. Haven't had a problem before or since. So while I have a backup, I was surprised (as well as I treat this device) it sort of had a malfunction here. It tests the same as my backup, so maybe some kind of a connection/humidity thing? Specific to my device only? Anyway, if someone else experiences this, just give it a gentle tap. I downgraded my rating a star because of this.

I needed a manometer for checking natural gas and propane gas pressures in troubleshooting minor to complex engine related issues. This manamter is the first one I've owned and gives me the range I was looking for including negative (vacum) pressure. Alongside my very expensive emissions tester this tool has quickly become indispensable in being able to troubleshoot both raw and refined gas related issues and enabled me to set both high and low frequency regulators in setting up the most efficient engine parameters in a fraction of the time I spent when guessing as I previously was doing.

I am a digital age person and this fits what I wanted to use. We had numerous questions about our gas pressure and problems with a poorly engineered piece of equipment. Within minutes I had my numbers and while cross referencing the manual, it all fell into place--- without this manometer it was all a shot in the dark and getting nowhere. Now with new equipment going in place, it will make sure everything is correct and set properly. We even had a specialist come prior to this and he was a complete waste of time as this item saved us from wasteful spending.
