The 407123 Heavy Duty Hot Wire Thermo-Anemometer uses a telescoping probe (extends up to 2 ft) which is ideal for use in ducts and ventilating systems. It can accurately measure Air Velocity and Temperature and simultaneously displays them on the dual LCD. Additional functions include Data Hold and Min/Max measuring modes. Comes complete with telescoping probe with 5.5ft cable, and 6 x AA batteries.

voy a devolver el equipo ya que cuando realizo las mediciones por debajo de 100 fpm me marca velocidades siempre en los mismos valores, lo comparé con otro equipo que tengo de la misma marca y referencia (con NIST) y las evaluaciones realizadas fueron muy diferentes. agradezco me informen a que dirección puedo hacer la devolución del equipo ya que este al ser nuevo no da valores adecuados cuando se mide. Equipo pésimo para realizar evaluaciones o medicionesMuchas gracias y quedo atento

John is right on all counts. I however need it for HVAC like work with very low air velocities. The values on the display do change frequently, an averaging function would help, and may be available on more expensive models. The meter is easy to use, seems well built and has a shock-resistant jacket. I purchased it for its accuracy (apparently same as more expensive models) and rugged construction. There is also a data collection port. I like the meter and would buy it again. Hope that helps.

This is not really a hot wire anemometer. The sensing element is encapsulated, so the transient response is very slow. Would be fine for HVAC use.
