Overall very happy with my purchase. Optically the scope is very nice, clear views of planets with it being a very slow scope F15 deep sky objects due suffer due to the limited field of view. However that is to be expected. The eq3 mount is very well built and solid along with the tripod, steel legs are a huge improvement over the cheaper extruded aluminum. The only reasons it did not receive 5 stars is because of the exceptional cheap feeling star diagnal (all plastic with no retainer ring, just set screw on eyepiece) which for the price of the set is unexpected. Also a lack of id sticker on the scope seems like a oversight. Even super cheap telescopes atleast have a sticker giving its aperture and focal length. If you're looking for a quality starter telescope with a focus on planets and are ok spending a little more this is a great option. I'd recommend picking up a zoom eyepiece to start till you find what magnification works best for your viewing. Star diagnal excluded of course replace that sooner vs later.
