Wasn't 100% sure if my digital one was reading correctly so I got thos one. They both read the same so they're both correct. Very easy to use just make sure you remover the inner circle of the adhesive pad or you'll block the censor. Read a review with photos showing it not working but it was on the outside of the tank! So it works great and is easy to read IF you place the sticky pad correctly and put it inside your tank. Good value for money . Built well and reads humidity perfectly

Works well, but even though I ensured surface was clean and dry prior to application- the adhesive did not last more than a day or so. Considering its purpose is to measure the level of humidity, I did expect moisture resistant adhesive or another option to mount. The tank it was being used in did not require high levels of humidity, so I can’t imagine other customers are having better luck.

I wanted to have an extra hydrometer in the back of my leopard geckos tank without spending a lot. This product has so far had correct readings and is working well. It has a sticky pad on the back to attach to the glass.

I purchased this a king with several other meters, some with temp included and some digital. Used the above do 75% RH test. After 36 hours it sat at 73% which is accurate within 2%. Compared it to serval others that I calibrated with the salt test so I know it is accurate. Despite what tons of these reviews say what I learned is the large majority of any of these hygrometers and temp scales will be within 5 degrees accuracy which unless your in a lab or something crazy will work just fine for almost all applications. I wouldn’t get to hung up on what model or type, just so long as you test it and it is fairly accurate. I wanted this guy because it was super cheap, came with adhesive and gives/has a color background that I can see the humidity level on whether or not visibility is good or not inside enclosure.

These seem spot on. I am curing plant material in Mason jars, and am using a 62% Boveda pack. I got 4 of these and all 4 are dead on at 62%. The great part is that they fit right inside the jar, and because I am using them in clear jars, these small guys fit right inside, and I can monitor the humidity without opening the jars. They come with a round foam sticker to stick on the back of the unit, but if you pop out the little circle in the middle, you can use that piece of the two sided sticker to attach it to the inside of the glass facing out. They work perfectly for my intended purpose.

I have two of these in separate vivariums in the same room. I've had one for the better part of a year and have had the other about 4 months. They have been working fine for me. I love the color coding that makes them easy to read and interpret. I don't feel the need to chase humidity down to the single percent, but rather follow trends and correct conditions as needed. While there may be times when the needle doesn't seem to move much, when the house become dry in the winter and supplemental humidity is needed, these little hygrometers help me keep viv humidity in the right range. If you need to move these they can be moved. I used a razor blade to remove, removed all the backing and then hot glued in the new position. While the included tape is relatively safe in a viv, with snakes fully cured aquarium safe silicone or hot glue is even safer. Just be careful to use small amounts of glue on the four raised pads. If you block airflow it will not work right. What's not to like about useful, inexpensive and easy? Love these.

Basically this thing is so inconsistent that you could never use it for an animal with very specific humidity needs. But it does help me estimate whether humidity is low or if it's okay. At the $4 price tag, I'm okay with just an estimate.
