This is the most affordable dimming thermostat available. I own one for each enclosure and will not buy anything else. I've had them since they came out and the temps hold as expected.

The Exo Terra 300 watt pulse proportional thermostat worked well with the ceramic heat emitters and the Exo Terra 16 watt heat mat that I plugged into it. However, it would not hold temperature with a deep heat projector. Mode switch set to dim. Further research shed light on other instances related specifically to the 300 watt pulse proportional version only, failing to hold temperature with deep heat projectors. Great product, just not the way I need it set up.

The probe is very thick and bulk. Temps are not always accurate.
