Used this on a toyota tdi swap where the downpipe had very tight clearance. I also wrapped it in ceramic first then aluminum. Great product and works better than it looks

used for heat shielding on mufflers and exhaust pipes where there is tight clearance between cab and wood bed. the included metal "scissors" were a nice surprise. but I used my tin snips instead.

Installed exhaust headers on a 350Z and wanted to add a heat shield to protect other engine related components such as hoses and air conditioning lines. I used a cardboard template, stainless steel bolts nuts washers, and standoffs to create custom heat shields for both sides of the engine. So far, after a hundred miles they seem to be doing their job. Time will tell how they hold up. Material is easy to work with and I recommend watching any YouTube videos you can to see how to fold over the edges to create a stronger and more aesthetically pleasing edge. The thickness is just right for being able to work with by hand but also strong enough to maintain its shape.

This stuff holds its shape after forming, and is easy to work with if you take care not to get cut on the edges. I will be using it to wrap my Mini Chief smoker. The seller even threw in a pair of tin snips!

I have an older Corvette with headers and dual exhaust. The floor and transmission tunnel used to get very hot until I insulated with this product. Now the car is comfortable and more fun to drive.
