I used these to test a few rooms in my house for airborne mold. Leave them open in a room for an hour, incubate them for a couple of days, then shine a light through them and count the number of mold colonies that have formed.I was able to rule out any serious mold problem in my home because almost no mold colonies formed on any of the plates. These were fast and cost-effective compared to "test kits" for home airborne mold spores.

We originally ordered agar petri dishes from another company but *many* of those dishes arrived wet and already growing bacteria/mold. We needed another set of agar petri dishes quickly for a science project and these arrived on time with all dishes usable and intact! There was a note included with the product that sometimes dishes get damaged in transit, with a number to call if necessary to arrange for replacement but we didn't need to use it. The quality of these dishes was so much better than the others we ordered! Also appreciate that the company proactively included information for customer service just in case.

Let me tell you, these prepoured agar plates are like the red carpet for microorganisms, giving them the VIP treatment they deserve. First off, the convenience is off the charts, just pop the lid, and you've got a perfect microbial buffet ready to go! Microbes strut their stuff on these plates. It's microbial fame in the palm of your hand. And the best part? The potato dextrose agar provides a nutrient-rich environment that even bacteria couldn't resist. It's like offering them a five-star meal. I give them to all of my neighbors for fun.

These came in sealed bags- 2 sealed dishes, then 3 sealed dishes on one bag as others stated. My order was for 10. They have a little moisture but not dripping wet like some have reported. No contamination after leaving them in room temperature for three weeks. Used two already with perfect results. Time to use the rest up or risk degradation. As with all these agar filled dishes, I wouldn't refrigerate as that will condense liquid and make a mess. We always refrigerate, but in this case it's a moot point considering the shipping company has them in their truck for hwo knows how long on adverse conditions. My only disappointment is that these should be individually sealed, or at least sealed in pairs seeing it's a "lot of 10". Once opened in front of a laminar flow or clean still air box, using them is really your only option or one runs the risk of contamination.I'm about to order a second batch hoping for similar results. So far, I would recommend these under the conditions stated above.

Good, mostly clean product on somewhat thin plates. Easy to Crack if grabbed by the middle, but might be usual for these dishes. Only 1 out of 10 plates was contaminated. Not too shabby

As a newbie to mushroom growing I did not have much luck with these. I put in one cc of liquid culture of Oyster mushroom in 5 of them and they just went moldy for me. I had done 20 homemade agar plates on my own. Used 10 of them, to see the difference. I had 5 of them with the same process with liquid culture and got the same type of mold, but my other 5 home made plates with liquid culture were good. So will chalk it up to my inexperience and a good learning experience. Will try them again later.

These Evviva Sciences came highly recommended by someone I respect in the myco community. Before taking a closer look, I thought how nice they included charcoal plates, but no, it was not only contaminated in the plates, but also leaked along the edges inside one of the bags. and I was aghast to find that eight of ten plates in these sealed bags were entirely colonized with black mold. I reordered them in the hopes that the next batch arrives clean, and will update accordingly. .Update: So far so good on the second batch. I've only had them a day, and they remain sealed in my SAB, so hopefully they will be okay by the time I need to use them.
