First the goodI was looking to save money from apple MGK and this was perfect. Everything like the Magic Keyboard but less than half the price. The trackpad worked flawlessly and I think the product is well built and does not look cheap. All trackpad gestures worked perfectly and it paired properly as well unlike some of the cheaper items available on amazon. In addition to protecting the iPad (with a detachable case) It has a pencil holder which will prevent your pencil from accidentally falling off. This is a great feature. Overall for the price of the case I think its a great value.I want to clarify that the needs improvement is for my preferences only. You may be ok with given the low price point to work around these issues. I will be returning this case for the above reasons.1)keyboard backlight escapes a lot through the key sides. It was very distracting for me and unusable for that matter unless I turned the backlight off I dark which defeats the purpose of having the feature2)the keyboard is too think. I was looking for a Magic Keyboard like case but with iPad protection and ability to take iPad off so the thickness of the iPad cover was ok however the keyboard was almost twice as thick as the Magic Keyboard.3)there is an escape key but it doesn’t work (I think its intended to close windows to go back to Home Screen). You have to use the cod+h shortcut to do this. Maybe it works for other uses but I wasn’t able to fine one4)keys felt a little too high from the base compared to apple Magic Keyboard. So I found it a little clumsy to type5)cannot fold the keyboard back (similar issue with apple keyboard). You have to put it away if you don’t want to use it.6)trackpad is a little noisy. Double click to select a line of text does not work as well as expected.Could not test battery life as I had it only for a day.I purchased a Logitech which I may keep but I am trying to justify the need to have an external keyboard in the first place I think every one of the ones currently sold has some issues (including the one sold by apple which doesn’t have a protective case). So I may wait till apple comes up with a keyboard and protective case combo. I don’t know why they haven’t come up with something yet this is an expensive device to carry around without a protective case (if you are not using the keyboard)

It was a beautiful case I brought for my son. He was waiting for this delivery since i ordered it and couldn't wait anymore to use it. He pounced on the box and started using it immediately.

This black key board is affordable, durable and easy to carry. It’s lightweight and fits perfectly into any workspace. The material feels sturdy and it’s simple to use without any hassle. A great choice for anyone on a budget.

I am super OCD so I notice things people normally don't. I love this keyboard, it is premium, good looking, feels elegant and superb, and gives it a really important vibe from the weight. However, across the flat surface of silicone, I caught 2 microbumps (I got sensitive fingers from being a sports therapist in the past) that is probably due to when the silicone was being molded it was interrupted or sorts. Unnoticeable from normal viewing angles but with light shining on it from the side and when touching it you could feel it. It is probably about 0.5mm in diameter and 0.5mm in elevation of the bump. Doesn't affect anything overall I painted over those bumps with my logo so it worked out nicely either way for me. Typing experience were great, could use a little work on the clicking of the trackpad because of the loud plastic clicky noise it made it sounded cheap for quite a premium feel product. Keyboard takes about 3 seconds to wake up AFTER you click on them when you flip the case open otherwise it stays idle, definitely needs to be clicked on before it wakes up. Not that it makes too much of a difference unless you are trying to Google how to save lives where 2 seconds count. Overall highly satisfied.

As you have read many reviews of this product, it’s an Apple Magic Keyboard Replacement for a third of the price. The pros of this case it comes with a case that keeps your iPad protected not like the Apple Magic Keyboard. This ESR keyboard is backlit and have different colors you can choose from. The keyboard was easy to set up via Bluetooth and it’s easy to turn on. The quality of the keyboard is a soft rubber and as of right now it’s holding up well but we’ll see over time. It is just like the Magic Keyboard where the iPad is being held up with magnets. I like when the case is closed, it has a flap that goes over the top and prevents the pencil from falling out.The only negative I have is not with the case itself but ESR is that I also have the Shift case and thought that the rubber case that you put around the iPad would work with both products. Unfortunately it doesn’t, I was hoping to just use one case and just switch from the Keyboard and to the Shift case whenever I wanted to with ease. I’ve decided to use the Keyboard case for now and then although the magnets do not lineup with the Shift case, i can still angle my iPad to write or to watch but have to be a little more careful as the magnets are not as strong as I was actually using the Shift case.I wrote this whole review on the keyboard and it was comfortable and the keys felt like an Apple keyboard that you are use to typing on. I would highly recommend this case for anyone who needs a keyboard. It adds some bulk and weight to the iPad but that’s the trade off of not paying for the Apple Magic Keyboard. If I would have to pay for this product again, I would do so and hopefully in future iterations of the ESR cases, they will have one case that you can use for multiple different cases that ESR create.

After reading all the comments and reviews I have mentally prepared for all the trade off, such as the heavier weight, slight lag on Bluetooth connection and seperate charging, but I truly didn’t realize how much I miss haptic feedback until I have to physically click the trackpad each time that comes with an annoying sound.L(I love this keyboard and i think the significant cheaper price with extra case protection and vertical view make it a very compelling product. If the trackpad comes with the haptic feedback, I think the user experience can even greatly outshine the Magic Keyboard!

I really like this case and keyboard cover for my iPad Air 13 M2.First there is a TPU case that fits perfectly on the iPad. Buttons and camera cut out are all in the right place and work effectively. This will magnetically attach to the keyboard case. Additionally, the Apple Pencil magnetically connects to the side of the iPad. There is no interference from the TPU case. I would feel comfortable with the TPU case to protect the iPad for any small falls.Second, keyboard cover works well. I have not experienced any lag with either typing or using the track pad. When closed the magnetic flap will cover the Apple Pencil on the side of the iPad and keep it securely in place when carrying or putting the whole case in your bag. The keyboard connects to the iPad with Bluetooth and there was no problem finding the keyboard and connecting. Overall it will make the iPad heavier, but I think that is what is to be expected. I think the overall construction is well made and feels fairly solid.
