The original wide-bottom design of the FatFish™ series ensures you have plenty of room to bring everything you need to make your trip a success. Whether you're going out for the evening bite, a full Saturday on the ice, or camping on the lake for the weekend, you’ll be more comfortable in a FatFish. Don’t compromise with cheap, flimsy knockoffs, choose the original wide bottom design and pick up a FatFish 949 today. The only thing you’ll regret is that you didn’t do it sooner.

It's a nice product to have fishing. There is tons of room inside. However, there's lots of light penholes everywhere. The zipper on the doors is extremely tight. I'm wondering how long the zippers will last before they pull apart. In addition, sometimes pulling out the walls by yourself is very tough to do other than that. It's nice that it goes on your back and it takes about 1 minute to set up and it does have a lot of nice room inside.

Very easy to set up and take down, plenty of light from the windows if you open them up. Plenty of room for two people. Very nice

Exactly what I was looking for. Spacious 2 man, comfortable 3 man, definitely not a 4 man. At 6' there is plenty of room to stand. Seems to be well constructed, time will tell. Easy to set up and take down. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely one of the fastest times to set up this shanny. Total with tied owns into ice 5 min or less. I can't speak more highly of this 4 did fit snug but 3 fit comfortably with your gear used 6 or 7 times this season. Love the back pack straps to carry as well more room for other things in sled. No issues at all very worth the money. Great product can't wait to go next year... very wind proof and warm inside

Fantastic pop up shelter with some exceptions. To be clear I should mention that used this in combination with a wall tent stove to make a winter camping shelter. With that said here are some pros and cons.PROS : very easy to pop up Very sturdy Convenient and portable Compared to a canvas tent it's well priced and a fraction of the cost. Removable windows really make it easy to control the temperature inside. Great zippers, well constructed.CONS : The stitching around the tent could use improvements. If you don't seal the the shelter with some type of silicone sealant expect a lot of water to seep through on rainy days. Be mindful of condensation because you really get a lot with this one even if you crack windows open. So bring a rag and be ready to wipe down some.Overall great purchase. Very pleased

This tent is larger than the one I had previously since the bottom fares out a bit. Three or four can fish inside easily. The quality is good, and seem stitching is strong and it is easy to put up. I have read that some complain about the carrying bag but I found to to be well designed with padded shoulder straps for carrying across the lake. Inside there is a heavy canvas type bag for the 6 ice screws and there are two adjustable straps for holding the tent against the wind. The ice screws are well made and hold the tent well in a string wind. The fibreglass poles are a little thinner than my previous tent but have held up well in numerous outings this winter. The only drawback is the short plastic nibs to cover the tips of the ice screws. I thre these out and bought some foam pipe insulation and cut these into 6 inche pieces. I place the screw tips in these and back in the bag. No changce of leaving these on the ice when packing up.

Decent quality for the price. People saying they're having problems with the black cracking on the inside. Reason for that...putting it back in the bag wet...then leaving it to dry like that. Then when opened again...it's all cracked looking from the inside. Dry the dang things out before putting them in the bag. Simple.

We just used this the past weekend for the first time. It went up in less than 5 minutes. My10 year old son and my husband had no trouble getting it up just the two of them. Just unfold it right side up, pull on the sides handles, and it pops up and out. We didn't use the metal screws to attach it as it was not a windy day, but my husband tried one out anyway and he had not trouble screwing it into the ice. Plenty of windows to let in as much, or as little, light as you want. Packing it back up was just as easy. It has a Velcro strap to keep it rolled up and easily fits back into the high quality carrier that it comes in. Very pleased with this purchase and I would recommend it to anyone who goes ice fishing. Excellent quality and price.

Wanted to wait until I had a few seasons with this . First time I used it last year a hub broke. Was still able to use it for the rest of the season . Called customer support and they sent me a new hub free of charge . Replaced it and realized I lost one of the fiberglass rods . No problem , just called customer support and ordered a new one as well as spares and a spare hub . $27 shipped . GREAT customer service .As far as function , it has been outstanding. Have used it in sub zero weather with a Big Buddy heater on low and was plenty warm . Some have complained of condensation , but the simple cure is open vents and keeping one door half unzipped . After doing that I have never had an issue with condensation .One thing that I found worked for me with this shack is that I use the ice anchors on the 4 points where you pull out the sides . Instead of rope to tie it down , I use bungee cords . In the high winds the bungees have a little give and allow a little flex that a solid line will not give you . Also a quicker setup. As is I can put this up in 5 min by myself ( I use a drill for the anchors) . and maybe 10 minutes tops tearing down and packing up .In all I would get another if this one ever gives up the ghost . Will stick with uninsulated since I have no plans of sleeping in it and it is plenty warm while out on the ice , even in -15 temps . Was the best xmas present I got last year , and was purchased through Amazon , arriving within a few days of purchase .If you like ice fishing with 2-3 other people , this shack will suit you fine . I would recommend it to anyone going out in a 2-4 person group .

Great fishing shelter. Amazon price was $65 less they are selling for locally and being a Prime member the shipping was free. Hard to believe it cost less and was shipped 2 day air to our house in Alaska but Amazon once again proved Prime membership is worth every penny.Used the FF9494 FatFish three times now, easy to set up, enough room for 4 people and a dog with all their gear. Did have some condensation but not enough to worry about. in -5 weather a Little Buddy propane heater kept it plenty warm and helped reduce the condensation. Highly recommend to someone looking for a 4 person shelter that is easy to set up and use. So far we have not had any high winds to deal with. The provided stakes should be able to keep it down under most conditions.

We have the 2 Person Eskimo as well. It tends to stay 'popped open' better in wind than this bigger unit. You may need to utilize the anchor ropes provided on the windward side with an ice screw (also provided). On the positive side, the design is great for putting up/down and carrying and storage. The ice screws are of high quality and easy to use. Lots of interior room for 4 comfortably. Can stand up inside to stretch. Window and airflow options/design is well done with replaceable parts if needed.Happy with purchase. We considered the quilted version but don't think we would have needed it and am happy to not have the extra weight to carry. Unit is plenty windproof.
