At first the price made me think twice. Yes it’s a acoda and yes was designed by perhaps one of the best water colorists alive. I’m not a professional but a fairly good acuarelista and yet at 80 bucks gotta think twice to buy it but finally I did and oh boy I love this brush!I’ve used it and can tell you it keeps its sharp point and its water retention is excellent. It’s a 100% natural squirrel hair brush so it literally glides on the paper. Good for mopping medium size to small papers but excellent for fine work at a the number 12 size.Whit out a doubt the best watercolor brush I own and a pleasure to use.Without reservations highly recommended!

I only tried a few practice strokes so far but I can tell this will be a great brush to use. It holds a generous amount of water, there's no snap, and it is soft, and doesn't flop or lose its shape or form. It points beautifully. The superior shape and cut of the brush head helps keep the form, simply superior! I have an Escoda set I bought years ago and have been pleased with those brushes, so I wanted to try this one. Pricey brush though, worth it. I will save up and purchase another in a different size.
