What Is black light?
Human eyes can see a spectrum of visible light in rainbow colors, ranging from the lowest frequency of red light to the highest frequency of violet. Above violet, a range of light exists called ultraviolet, which we cannot see. It comprises two types, commonly called UV-A and UV-B, another more uncommon type is UV-C.
UV rays are classified according to wavelength: UV-A has the longest wavelength of the three, with UV-B in the middle and UV-C the shortest wavelength. A blacklight is an artificial source of UV-A light, which is invisible to the human eye but makes certain other things glow. which is why you need a black light flashlight

How do you check currency with a black light flashlight?
A security thread is a thin thread or ribbon running through a banknote. The thread in U.S. currency includes printing and on the new 50 USD note, micro-printing, and graphics. The thread in the new notes glows when held under ultraviolet light. On the 100 USD note, it will glow pink, and on the 50 USD note it glows yellow

I put brand new batteries in the big light and it would not work. I tried all the troubleshooting on the package and it still will not work. Tried multiple different brand new batteries and still won’t work. The small ones work. I would contact the seller but not sure how to.

These flashlights worked exceptionally well, but I didn’t like what I saw. I thought my bathrooms were reasonably clean, but not after I shined the UV light on them! I will probably have to spend half a day on each one of them!! And, disgustingly, it’s not just around the toilets, it’s all over the bathroom! I had also sworn my closet smelled like urine when we moved in. I shined the light in the closet and now know it was not my imagination. I will be cleaning that carpet, too. I’m just curious what it will take to get the bathrooms clean because I HAVE cleaned them several times with what I thought were decent jobs. Obviously not! I will try to get a picture of the bathroom with the lights on it and post it later.
