I had a power peg winder already, but the addition of USB-C is a gamechanger. I'm of the opinion that absolutely everything should be USB-C. This is no exception. Charges pretty fast, though it wasn't dead when I plugged it in and the motor is fast! Real easy to unwind and re-wind string making string changes a breeze.

Comfortable grip. Single push button to change the direction of the winding. One trigger to start/stop it. It works very well. Certainly a lot quicker/more efficient than using the manual hand string winder. Extremely happy to have this and I think its something EVERY guitarist should have. Providing that they change their own strings.

This makes changing strings so much easier by taking the most tedious and time consuming part of the process and making it much faster and almost effortless. This is basically a cordless drill with an attachment that will fit over the manual part of the tuner/tuning-machine/machine-head, whatever you want to call it. The bit is designed with two positions: one that will fit over the tuners for most smaller stringed instruments, such as guitars, banjos, ukuleles, mandolins, etc., and a second position that will fit over larger tuners like those used on bass guitars. I have small collection of stringed instruments that include electric guitars, acoustic guitars, electric basses, and ukuleles, and this tool is a time-saver. I have seen guitar techs using similar tools for years, and always thought it is a great idea. Now that I have one, I realize I should have picked one up much sooner. This is battery powered, but like many battery powered devices, a USB-C cable is provided to charge it from any USB charging source. This thing is great!

Easy to use, intuitive, and with plenty of power to handle multiple string changes on a single charge. I already had a small powered driver along with the music nomad winder bit. To be honest, I slightly prefer the design of the music nomad piece, which snugly fits virtually every imaginable tuner, including large flat bass tuners. While this winder doesn't fit quite as snugly on the flatter style tuning heads, it still works just fine, so it's not really a big issue. The big downside of the drill bit-style winder was that I often misplaced it, and it was small enough to go in the bottom of a tool bag. So the next time I needed to change strings I'd waste time searching for it. This gives me one powered driver with a Phillips head (which covers 98% of my use of that tool) and a separate dedicated string winder, which is nice if you're routinely swapping strings. This may not be as much of an issue for someone who only does it once in a while, but I have many guitars and also often help out friends with guitar work, and saving a bit of time and effort by using a powered string winder is well worth the money. So far no complaints at all; I'll update if I have any longevity/wear/failure issues down the line.
