Digital Lab Scale can work either by USB (charging only) or by US outlet through AC/DC adapter. The precision scale can also be powered by 2 x AAA batteries (not included) for your convenience.
BRIGHT LCD DISPLAY
Lcd Screen Display - Large and bright, our screens are 3/4 inch tall and fully backlit. Avoid the difficulty of working with an analog or dark scale and increase the speed and reliability of your work with this fully digital scale.
СALIBRATION
Each of our units comes pre-calibrated and has undergone thorough, multiple key-point inspections from the factory. The calibration function is also externally accessible to the user.
To calibrate the scale:
1. Long press MODE button until LCD display show CAL and the preset calibration weight required ‘200g’ (not included). Short press MODE button to confirm.
2. Place 200 g standard weight on the weighing pan.
3. Display will show PASS indicating the scale has been calibrated successfully.
If loading weight is not stable or you abort calibration, the scale will show ‘Err’ and automatically turns off.

This electronic balance is great for measuring smaller sized items, for food, mail or what ever you need to measure. It comes with simple instructions. It operates with batteries or cord. (batteries not included) You can cycle through several units of measurement. (ounces grams and several more). It comes with a power cord. It is inexpensive when compared with other similar items. And is packaged with protective measures for the plate. A good product.

These are EXCELLENT if you are wanting basic digital balances for your class. You cannot beat the quality for price value. I have had 3-4 for 2+ years and bought a couple extra last year and I cannot tell the new from the old because they have held up so well. We use them once a week, practically, during the school year.Is it an analytical balance? No. But will it do what you want / need it to? Yeah.

The scale seemed to work well for the first use, but after turning it off for a day and turning it on the next day it wouldn't work. Can't believe it stopped working after only 1 day.

It doesn't look as sleek as other small scales out there - it looks like an old school lab scale. BUT, you can plug it into an outlet (or use batteries if you want that) and you actually see the numbers on the scale very well even with a large mixing bowl on top. Great bang-to-buck factor when making soaps, cosmetics, etc. at home.

The nicest scale/balance I've seen for the price.For $30,simply can't beat this.Powered by USB adapter (power-only, no data) or AAA batteries.Unlike other small inexpensive balances I've owned, this one doesn't automatically (and annoyingly) shut off when it's on battery power.The display is easy to read and well-backlit.Also unlike others in this price range, this one can be easily calibrated. This is a huge plus!I always calibrate balances when they arrive, though this one was dead-on out of the box.Very accurate and consistent. Calibration hasn't drifted a bit in the month or so I've been using it.As Quality Assurance Director for a chemical manufacturer, accuracy is critical.I have a lab-grade analytical balance, but this one is my go-to for quick weight measurements at my desk when I don't feel like walking over to our lab. So far it agrees 100% with our analytical balance within the limitation of it's accuracy range.Great for quick measurements, production line, or school lab use where replacement cost is a concern.

Works alright if you are weighing objects over a tenth of a gram, however anything under that is extremely inconsistent. I would say this scale is best fit for objects above a couple grams.
