I researched these and verified that these are, indeed, the same consumption monitors that the solar company I used in South Carolina would install if I paid them to do so. There's lots of videos online to help you through the installation because it really is not that difficult. Nice to see where your electricity is going. Good addition if you have solar panels.

I have a solar array and wasn't setup to see my consumption. Called my solar provider and they were going to charge $250 for installation and have a long wait for a tech. I got a 3rd party work release form and ended up doing it myself. I don't have access to the enphase installer app, so I called them and played dumb and they were able to activate them remotely. Saved alot of money, there's plenty of YouTube videos showing how to hook them up.

Make sure you buy two of these. Install is very simple and no reason to hire an electrician to do it unless you just aren't comfortable messing with your panel.

They started transmitting data almost immediately. Make sure you use a competent installer. First guy couldn't get them arranged so the cover would go back on and they didn't have them oriented correctly. Had problems with the app for a week before they came out and installed everything correctly. But the product works splendidly.

I forgot to answer a question about where to place these units, I think because the leads are rather short. As you can see I installed mine at the drop outside. Had to install underground conduit to go 30 feet. Leads on the units are a mite short for that. Just solder on to the leads what you need and keep track what leads go what unit.

The arrow to show which direction the current should flow was backwards on one of my CTs. It’s easy to fix but was a bit confusing. Makes your energy consumption show as negative.

I just wish there were some kind of mounting hardware or other way to fix it securely to the conductors that it's measuring. In my panel, without electrical tape, it just hangs on the conductor. Works fine, but this is not what the inside of a load center should look like, and may not even conform to code in some jurisdictions.

These are directional, and it’s important to install them in the correct orientation for the enphase system to mathematically supply all data. The arrows must point to load, except.....these. For some reason (after hours of support calls and testing) the arrows were backwards on both of the CT’s I received.
