I have been experimenting with the Arduino small computer for quite some time. I am using this current sensor for one of my projects.It works as advertised. The split core makes it very easy to 'attach' to a wire. My only issue is the voltage rating of the secondary wiring. I am hesitant to permanently install this in the breaker box.

I bought a zigbee 85A clamp but it wouldn't fit my 200A service split lines. I bought this Haosie and it fit just fine so now I am able to monitor grid power into my house in Home Assistant.

The current transformer provides an accurate measurement even though the coil is split. It has a simple hinge and locking mechanism that allows you to attach the current transformer to be fasten without removing the power cable from its terminals. I am not recommending but you can install the current transformer around the wire to be measured if you have safe and suitable access. The current transformer has a hole diameter of 16mm or about 5/8" inch which can easily handle wires that are within its range of 100 amps. I use the current transformers for input into a multi measurement display for getting a accurate amperage reading when running my generator.
