About this item

  • Rebuildable, Sealed Bearing, Precision operation

Freewheels have notoriously been considered the Achilles' heel to the drive train system. Traditionally, the freewheel has been considered a disposable component that should be replaced on a regular basis. We approached the component differently. We set out to create and manufacture a freewheel that would be durable, reliable, and easily maintained. We succeeded in our endeavors and the ENO freewheel is now regarded as an industry leader. The freewheel utilizes a sealed cartridge bearing instead of a loose ball system. The advantage of the cartridge bearing is that it is sealed from the elements such as mud, grit, and water. The other benefit is that the bearing is nicely contained in one simple unit and easily pulled and replaced when worn. The ENO freewheel features a machined inner driver and machined outer gear case resulting in a freewheel that runs concentrically without the tight loose spots common to other freewheels. 36t engagement system and a case hardened, electroless nickel plated outer gear case make this freewheel a perfect addition to your single speed. I changed out my stock on my redline it’s nice and smooth I can coast for days wish it was louder for my taste but value and smooth is worth it.

I love this thing. Super responsive and extremely well built. The only problem I have with it is subjective to my own personal preference. It sounds like an angry hive of hornets when coasting anywhere.

Perfect as one would expect from White Industries. Beats the hell outta shimano and others.

It’s a great freewheel! It works well and the sound resonates well with the bike. I live in NYC, and the rattlesnake sound is welcome because it prevents the need for a bell.

Old freewheels can be tough to get off sometimes, but its worth it to replace with one of these. If you want a fairly loud freewheel and instant engagement go with this. I put it on my Haro X3 and very happy with it

Simply the best single speed freewheels out there. A lot more expensive than the usual Shimano fare but 10 times better made. I have over 4000 miles on one of these and it still runs like clockwork. I am lucky if I get 500 miles out of a Shimano offering. Excess are a bit better and certainly much better than Shimano but not in the same league. You can get three Excess freewheels for the same price and they are almost as good but very intolerant of the rain.

I bought this for my Surley Crosscheck SS, it had a Shimano freewheel and the gear ring on it was a bit wobbly and poorly made. I had always heard good things from these freewheels from BMX riders so I gave it a try. It's 100% worth the money. The quality of the part is top notch and it has a nice heavy engagement. A bonus feature from this is that when riding if there is a person on the path and I coast for a few seconds they turn to see what the noise is and move to a side. It also will scare wild critters off the road before you get close so they don't run right out in front of you. If you don't like noise this ISN'T for you!
