Will do the job, but zero application instructions as to what does what. You MUST be familiar with the various applications.

Required for ford engines to do anything in depth. Cheap set but works great and has held up fine.

This kit contained absolutely required tools to time the cams to TDC on the engine. Everything worked very well and made the job deadly accurate. The only hitch was the length of the knurled end of the crank stop tool. All the books state you have to remove the axle assembly to get it in or out of the block (the axle housing interferes). I was able to get it out with axle removal, but shortening the knurled end by 1/8” would eliminate the need for axle removal and not interfere with the tool function.

I suggest watching a youtube video on how to use the tool for the engine your working on. The part that stumped everyone so far was not removing the vacuum pump drive bolt that is on the end intake camshaft which is 27mm socket to remove it. It looks like the right size for the slot to use the tool with but it was not. The camshaft tool will not slip on perfectly either. I had to redo another mechanic's job since the engine would barely run and saw he used the vacuum pump bolt drive slots to set the intake cam timing and not the actual camshaft slots that are on the shaft itself to set the timing. Once I did it the correct way the engine ran perfectly fine. The crank pulley pin is perfect size. Use the little hole on the crank pulley spoke to line up with the timing cover hole at about 12 O'clock position that this long silver thumb screw goes to. Then use the crankshaft locking pin on the backside of the engine block. There is plug bolt you remove to put this locking pin in. I would also suggest using the locking tool for the flywheel to prevent bending the alignment pins when torquing the crank pulley bolt to 85 Ft pounds or so. Make sure you use the crank position sensor alignment tool which goes over the entire sensor to line it up with the crank pulley. The crank sensor is adjustable and can throw off spark timing without using that alignment tool.
