Replaced the stock bushings to get rid of the clunk going over road imperfections and bumps. If you're working on a Protege, there's no need to drop/lower the front subframe if you put all corners of the car in the air. I had the car about 17" off the ground and had no issues with clearance. Front wheels do need to be off, and I replaced both front end-links at the same time.Tools used were:- Electric/cordless impact (to unbolt end-link nuts)- breaker bar- 14 mm socket- 14 mm deep socket- 5 mm hex socket- socket wrench and extensions- 14 mm combination wrench- 15 mm wrench to extend the 14 mm wrench's reach- 14 mm ratcheting wrench (helps but not needed)Note the stock bushing brackets have a slot on the rear hole to locate them, so I cut the energy suspension brackets to match, and then painted them. Along with that, the front bolt slots on the energy suspension brackets had to be filed a few millimeters so the stock bolt could be reused. We will see how long the included energy suspension grease lasts...

I use Sylglide as a lubricant. I also wrapped the sway bar in teflon (plumbers) tape, which will eliminate squeeks and will last a long time too.I didn't notice that these were graphite impregnated - I don't believe they were.I used this on a Datsun 510 with a 1" front sway bar. For that application, you will have to space one side of the mount during installation, and use an allen-head bolt or else you can't tighten down.

One metal bracket completely broke in less than 9 months of use. This is with stock suspension and stock tires. I understand the bushing wearing out over time but the bracket should never ever break!
