These semirigid Guedel Oral Airways are used to make an airway between the mouth and the posterior pharyngeal wall. When the tongue and/or epiglottis in anesthetized or unconscious patients fall back against the posterior pharynx, it obstructs airflow, necessitating the use of an oral airway. The Guedel Oral Airway Kit is used on unconscious patients to keep the airway open, allow fluid suction, and depress the patient's tongue to prevent airway blockage.

The Endure Guedel Oral Airways come with a polyethylene reinforced bite block. These bite blocks are color-coded for easy identification in accordance with universally established standards. The have a flange that should rest against the patient's lips to prevent the airway from being inserted too deeply. They are commonly used in pre-hospital emergency care and for short-term airway management following anesthesia or when manual methods fail to maintain an open airway.

High quality OPA (Oropharyngreal Airways), great price and fast shipping. I appreciate the color to quickly identify the OPA size. Some manufacturers will skimp on this and all white sizes can be very confusing in the event they’re needed.
