8:42 AM Having bought some lovely loose-leaf teas, I wanted to have a kettle big enough to steep enough tea for 2. Not having ever done that before, I wasn't sure what to get and gave this one a try. You put the loose tea leaves into the inner chamber of the kettle and then pour boiled water into the samechamber. The lever under the handle holds the water up in the chamber until it has steeped sufficiently. Moving the little lever down allows the water to pour down into the main body of the kettle.Unfortunately, I've found that the amount of water that can fit in the inner chamber to steep is pretty much only enough for one serving. In order to make enough for 2, l'd have to pour in more boiled water to steep the same leaves a second time and then add that to the first batch in the main chamber. I think it would be particularly pretty to put a floral tea into it and seeing it swirl around in the water as it steeps. It cleaned up very easily.

I really liked the shape, size, capacity, and the magnetic mechanism of this tea pot. Also the filter part is really nice and good quality. But, after only two times use, when it was full of hot tea and I was carrying it, the handle came off and I almost burned myself with boiling hot water! The handle was simply glued to the body of pot, and the glue came off because of the heat I guess. If a teapot cannot handle hot water, then it's useless; and not safe!I don't recommend this tea pot.

Got this for my sister and she loved it! Saw it on TikTok and I was gonna end up buying it anyway but then I saw it here on Vine so I was like I have to get it. It's great for people that don't like using tea bags and like making their own tea blends instead which I believe is healthier because those tea bags might have microplastics in them and also you don't really know what they put in the bags. I think it's much better to just buy loose herbs and make your own tea and this is great for that. So it works by a magnetic ball inside the little cup that sits in the bigger tea pot and you fill the little cup with your tea and herbs then you add your boiling water and let it steep in there for 5-10 mins then you flip the button on the magnet and let your steeped tea flow down into the tea pot. Then you can just pour it out and enjoy!

This pretty glass teapot looked so small I sent it back believing it was the 600 ml version rather than the 800 ml ordered. The company promptly sent me the same size teapot. After placing the clear glass strainer into the top of the teapot, you add loose tea leaves, fill the strainer cup with hot water, cover the teapot with the steel lid, and let the leaves steep. When the tea is the proper color, flip a button on the teapot handle. The tea leaves immediately fall to the bottom of the strainer cup and stay there (as if pressed in a French press), while the tea water drains into the into the base of the teapot. Then you can pour your tea into a cup and/or repeat the process if you want to make more tea with the same leaves. The tea pours neatly from the tea pot. The plastic handle seems to be glued onto the pot which may be why this set requires hand washing. The wet tea leaves are pretty easy to remove from the strainer cup, and you can rinse out the remains. (If you use a metal teaspoon to clear out the leaves, you'll feel the pull of the magnet in the strainer.) A video on the product page shows how to disassemble the strainer drain if it clogs - the potential for clogging may be a reason not to use coffee grounds in the set.The design of this set is attractive, streamlined and clever. It works well and performs neatly. To me it's much easier to infuse tea leaves to your liking using this set as you can see the color of the tea as it steeps, and in that sense, I'd say it's an improvement over a tea ball, tea basket or even a ceramic teapot though traditionalists may disagree. I also appreciate the use of borosilicate glass, which is relatively durable and provides a much purer taste than a ceramic teapot which could leach. It looks like tea water doesn't touch the steel lid as it's poured, though the leaves in the glass strainer contact and filter through the metal drain in the bottom of the strainer. It was just a surprise to me that you brew only about one cup of tea at a time. All in all, I think fans of steeped tea would enjoy this.

This is a fascinating device, but too small to be useful to me. The switch actually works to start and stop the flow of water from the top container. The way it works is that there is a ball bearing that is the proper size to seal a drain hole in the bottom of the top. When the switch is in the down position, that ball bearing is magnetically pulled away from doing its job of sealing the drain hole. The problem is the amount of water that it holds is enough to fill up half of one of our coffee cups. Our coffee cups have a 2-cup capacity. So, that loses a star in my ratings. The other drawback to this is the handling precautions. The instructions say not to clean it in the dishwasher. I am not big on handwashing dishes so this would normally lose a star in my ratings, but the ad says it upfront, so I will not deduct. The switch just sounded so interesting to me. The instructions say not to heat it in a microwave oven (presumably because it has metal magnets and you don’t put metal in the microwave), nor heat it using an open flame or electric stove.

Not only is this product aesthetically pleasing, it does what it is supposed to do - separate the tea from the loose leaf tea.
