It's what I needed and would fit perfect, only I didn't end up needing it for the repair. So at least I have it for the future

I am satisfied with the amount of shifter linkage slop reduction. This one part has provided me the ability to now tell where the gears are in the shifting. This product provides the user with the stock shifter play, and brings you back in time, to when not every manual was notchy. An odd thing to enjoy, but it takes you back, and there must be something to that.

Seems to be good quality. Solved my sloppy shifting and difficult gear selection problems. Shifting is smoother and no play. Doesn't come with a replacement shift rod retaining clip. The original bushing had disintegrated so I couldn't compare. I reused the old retaining clip. Wasn't difficult to install. Took me about two hours. Just had to put the new nushing in, lubricate it and the shift rod. I did not need to attach a pull string to the coupler end of the shaft to reinstall it but it would have made the job easier. I tried to use one initially but the string got caught on something in the tunnel and broke when I removed the shift rod.

Used this bushing for a dune buggy shifter. Worked great. Only place I could find the part and delivered in a timely manner.

My sand rail shifted like the shifter was in a 5 gallon barrel full of mud before I installed this, along with a new lock ring and reverse lockout. Now it shifts smooth as melted butter on texas toast.

This works exactly as intended on my 1967 Beetle. The previous bushing was completely gone, and replacing it took the slop out of the shifter. Here's my tip on installation: set up the metal ring so that it stays open by spreading the ends apart and getting the two ends touching. Put it on the bushing, install it and the rod, then use needle nose pliers to get the ring to snap back shut around the bushing and rod. I was lucky to find that tip before I did the job and it was a huge help.
