Replacing these bushings made a huge difference for the way my '94 Pickup shifts. I didn't even realize how bad the original bushings had gotten. I only have about 150k miles, but the original bushings were so disintegrated that it was actually hard to get the remnants out without dropping pieces into the transmission. Anyway, replacing the bushings made the truck a real pleasure to drive again.

This fits the 1985 Toyota pickup w56 transmission.Installed and works perfectly. Seems to be good quality but I figured I would order one every time I change the fluid.

Installed this in a 1998 Tacoma 2.4L 5 speed and was blown away by how bad the original bushing was. The smaller white plastic bushing was completely fine. But the rubber/composite black bushing looked like crumbled up bits of brownie in the turret. I used a shop vac to get all of the bits out and pried out the remaining ring using a pick. The new bushing went in easy and the shifter locked into place without an issue. Whole job took maybe 15 minutes. The difference in shifts is night and day now

Worked in my 1998 Tacoma 5 speed. 2.7 liter engine. 4x4. Dorman always makes OEM quality stuff. I trust their brand. This was no surprise. It has worked perfectly.

98 tacoma, fits well, didn't completely resolved my shifting issue but significantly improved it. recommend changing yours as easy maintenance item rather than when things starts to failed.

The videos slightly underestimate the difficulty of this job, but when the kit is re-installed, it is as if the truck is new again. Lacking the joint strength to force the spring back into place, I resorted to hitting it sharply with a hammer. That worked perfectly. I had stumbled onto the trick the video guys didn't show.

Was having the "stubborn to go into 1st and 2nd" problem. This took all of 20mins to install, and I went the extra step to take the plate off and make sure things were clean below it. Without that, just take off the shift knobs, center console shift cover, push down and 1/4 turn the retainer, and pull the stick out. The old white plastic end bushing on mine didn't look warn, but was yellow/brown and very tight fit/didn't want to move. Took some effort to get off without scratching the ball. New one popped on fine, lower ring bushings were simple to swap. Added a little grease to them and buttoned it back up, shifts like new again!

The press on bushing does not fit my Toyota t100. The bushing cracked when trying to press it on. The seat however, was a perfect fit. Ordering Toyota parts.

good quality materials but THIS WILL NOT FIT A 1997 TOYOTA TACOMA 4X4 EXTENDED CAB! Amazon says it will with their "check if it fits" feature but it will NOT fit a 1997, Dorman, O'Reilly, Autozone, Pep Boys and other vendors also say it will fit but i can assure you that it will not. there may be other 1st generation Tacomas that it will fit maybe others will chime in. When i tried to press it on it split, ended up calling around and finding the OEM part at a local Toyota dealership, the bushing is slightly bigger allowing for a press fit. The seat included in this kit fits just fine and looks exactly like the OEM part. Thank goodness Amazon has a great return policy and i was able to get a full refund. To their credit they probably rely on the manufacturer's information so it's not Amazon's fault.
